Today Mexico and the U.S.A. play again against each other.

During the years this has become the most classic match in the CONCACAF area.

The U.S.A. are marching swiftly for the direct World Cup qualification, and the team comes from a great performance in the Confederation's Cup, only lossing the Final against Brazil (the 5 times World Champions).

Mexico's team has been struggling, the style, and when scoring goals has been an issue for more than a year, and the team can't find ways to win outside the Azteca Stadium..and that's a most for teams that name themselves the strong ones of the zone.

Mexico is in 4th place of the Eliminatory group. If they finish in that place they would have to face a team from the Oceanic zone (where Australia plays at) to earn a place for the World Cup.

The U.S.A. team is just shy behind Costa Rica, and they had been displaying a strong style during the competition.

The last game played was almost a month ago, between this two teams. Mexico defeated the second string U.S. team 5-0...which in my belief, it will only turn the lights on for the U.S. team, and will fight and play hard at Mexico City.

-The game will be played today at 3:00 p.m. (CDT).
-It's a Sold Out game since 7 days ago.
-The Azteca Stadium will be packed with 110,000 soccer fans. (And it's the same Stadium where last pre-season NFL games had been hosted).
-Mexico cannot lose another single game during the eliminatories, or their qualification will be greatly jeopardized.

- Another game's fact is that buying a ticket for today's game are up to $350.00 U.S. Dollars...they are regulary at $30.00

Mexico wins after trailing in the score 0-1.

The U.S. team played to the counter-attack most of the time , and Mexico spent most of the time pressing and moving the ball in the U.S. area.

The score was tied when the first half finished, and the victory's goal came close to the end of the game.
Final score: 2-1, Mexico.

The Classificatory Round has ended. In the CONCACAF area the teams that had directly qualified to play the World-Cup are:

1) U.S.A.

2) Mexico

3) Honduras

Costa Rica will have to play an extra round against Uruguay in November, and the winner will also play in the World Cup.

It was on a sad note though because American Charlie Davies will most likely miss the World Cup due to injuries he suffered in a car crash.
