So the time has come and Fantasy football is picking up steam. Im sure most of yall have had your draft, and now its time to look into the player pool of free agents.
I loaded up on my defense today, i grabbed lamar woodlee from pitt and added him to my bench. What a steal.
Anyways, i figure we could use this to talk trades and free agents
I dropped shaun hill as my backup qb (the draft autopicked for me) and added Matthew Stafford.
My question is, i thought he looked good in his last game. Even tho he did throw a pick, he's a rook, he's going to have those mistakes. What are his chances of him taking over the starting role in detroit? I have mcnabb as my starter, but i think stafford has the chance to have a matt ryan type year so he could be a viable backup
thoughts?

I find it difficult to take a first year QB, in my case. Ryan's case is an isolated one, but good to anyone who picked him up last year, without questioning him.Personally, I think it's adding a lot of pressure to a team in case it doesn't pan out.
Now, in the other hand, Detroit has good WRs, so that might support Stafford's first season. Who knows?

Dropping Hill and adding Stafford is a good move and an upgrade. Especially as a back-up. imo
