The freep is perhaps the worst paper in the US when it comes to facts and running with stories before everything can come together. But they did get the attentention of the AD at Michigan, and the NCAA...A full investigation is underway bc of the article. Alot is at stake here for the Michigan Football team, which has been one of the cleanest major programs ever. If this does end up being true, this would mean a major loss in scholarships and also a big black eye on the program. Also, if this is true, it means the team not only exceeded the 20 hour a week limit on team activities, it means they absolutely obliterated them...exceeding over 40 hours in a week instead.
I personally think that they will find minor violations (I.E. maybe 22 hours a week) and perhaps a year or so of probation but what do I know. I believe Richrod after his presser today regarding the issue and I think the program will get thru almost unscaved...One hing that does irritate me is that if they find violations, they better prosecute USC first, bc I am so sick and tired of them getting away with murder with OJ Mayo and Reggie Bush. God I hate the condoms...err, I mean trojans.
