There were so many things to be happy about I can't remember all of them. Or maybe it was those shooters? Anyway, I figure Mark Jones redeemed himself tonight and made the roster. Edison made it in my humble opinion. Henry's gone. Paul Williams gone. They find a way to keep McCourty. I have developed a fondness for Vinny Fuller.

I know KC is the starter and have no issues with that. After tonight, if VY needs to step in I have no issues with that either. Damn that feels good to say that. He's back, I can feel it

I agree Y! I've always sorta liked Vinny Fuller but you could see a difference in our D when he was out this preseason. I also think I've undervalued Stephen Tulloch too. I would really like to see us keep McCourty over Cary Williams but I don't think it will happen. I will be very glad if I'm proven wrong though.

I think we find a way to keep Henry. Lose Ramsey. Maybe, then look for a trade down the road. Idk. VY is still better than some starting Qbs in league. Edison is not Jonothan Stewart or the wr we cut last year we all loved, can't remember his name omg.
Gonna be a long day tommorrow for the coaches.

Vince showed such great improvement over the last two games that, as Yvette pointed out, he's better than some starting QBs in the league. Me, I'll be happy to have him as the backup. God I hope that they don't keep Henry and cut Ganther based on last night's game. If they have to keep Cary Williams, he'll be our next Reynaldo Hill.

I really hope that they keep A.J. Trepasso and say goodbye to Craig Heinrich. Craig's body is worn out and that nutso detox diet did it for me. The FO will probably keep Heinrich and cut Trepasso, though.:sad

Trepasso was awful last night, i didn't see a half-decent punt from him all game long.

Trepasso's punts last night weren't exactly what he'd hoped for, but Craig's warranty expired a couple of years ago. Like I said, I guess that the FO will keep Heinrich, but...

After this game, I do feel that Vince has shown enough this preseason where the Titans will have to seriously consider bringing him back next year as the starter. With all this talk lately about the salary cap going away next year, Vince becomes even more attractive.

I still beleive that there is no way to have both Vince and Collins on the roster next year. Right now, they would be paid about $20 million combined next season, and that is just too much for most owners.

Mark Jones and Edison likely make the 53-man roster based on their performances last night. Paul Williams has to be cut. Henry, Hawkins, and Ganther are going to be tough decisions. I would cut Henry and keep Ganther, but I really don't have a good feel for what the Titans will do.

I also beleive the Titans will not sign any of the 3 receivers until after the Steelers game at the earliest, and it wouldn't surprise me to see none of them as Titans.

On the pregame show, Mark Howard talked about how Britt is really frustrating Dinger by not running good routes and not being focused enough. He really didn't have a great game last night with a drop or two. Hopefully he can turn it around, or Edison might start ahead of him.

Mike Keith said during the game he thought Edison might start over Kenny Britt...

Enjoyed the game very much. Except the last quarter and a half were mind numbing.
I like what i've seen out of VY the last two games.
Maybe, just maybe, there's an NFL quarterback in there somewhere !

I think Ringer gives them the ability to lose both Henry and Ganther.

funny lil story about Chris Henry...he came walking out after the half talking to a WR...either PW or Edison I think and walked right into a reporter standing on the sidelines. No helmet on and really no one around and he just walked right into him. I seriously :lmao It was freaking hilarious.

I was really happy to see VY, Edison and a WR I can't remember make the D pay. I'm pretty sure it was a LB that was still on the ground after trying to take VY down. Edison rang a corner's bell, too.

I always stay to the end, no matter how ugly but that last quarter almost did me in. I had to talk myself into staying.

gah i hate that.
but , so many good looking wr's who could catch balls in preseason and camp gradually lost their way out of the nfl because they couldnt learn to run a route.
or too pick up their blocking assignments.

What happened to Cook yesterday? can anyone remember a draft class as good as this, btw? Especially a draft class of RECEIVERS??? Cook, Britt, Edison. I hope to hear those names often in the years to come!

Great to have the VY back!

Always positive Orca is delighted to hear how VY played well against the GB 2nd string offense.

VY needed a confidence boost, this should help. I'm glad to hear Fisher comment that he is having fun again, 2nd string defense or not.

I'm sure you're delighted with all our guys that played well against GB's second stringers :D

I don't know if it's that he continues to improve or I've just not paid attention??? He's a solid smart player and tackles clean.

Yes. And this kind of confidence builder might have been just what VY needs at this moment.

I loved VY's performance last night. He came out and was confident, he actually seemed to make the right reads, he through some lasers that were pretty accurate and when he ran, he did so without hesitation and trusted his instinct.

I know that it was against GB backups, but last night VY looked like an NFL quarterback and that's just something we have not seen from him.

I know I have been critical of him in the past and I will continue to be when deserved (same goes for KC), so here's hoping that VY continues to show this kind of improvement and refrains from making any bonehead comments to the media!:thumbsup

Come Thursday night, the Titans strap on the pads, strap on the helmet and lace up the cleats. One thing is different though, this time it's for real.

I feel much about the thought of VY possibly having to play in that house of horrors by the Allegheny river than I did a week ago. He is just maybe starting to pull it all together..Good for us!

I'm not worried... yet. It's common for rookie WR's to struggle picking up the nuances of route running and their blocking assignments. I was pleased with Edison's performance last night, but let's keep in mind that Britt played against mainly starters/prime backups while Edison played scrubs. I don't say that to put Edison down. He's obviously too talented for scrub corners to cover. I'd like to see him against another team's starters. If nothing else, I think he's earned the consideration to be in the conversation.
