I think Calipari will do well at Kentucky. He'll at least be able to handle the requirements of the job, something that Gillepsie (sp?) apparently couldn't.

While we're talking coaching changes:

Tim Floyd from USC to Arizona.

Calipari cashed in. Good for him. You've got to take everything you can get when you can get it. I hope Memphis gets a coach who can still groom those players into stars keeping Memphis competitive.

I think Mark Few would be a good candidate for the Memphis job. He's done wonders for Gonzaga and has put them as a NCAA tourney contender every year.

I don't think he is going anywhere but I wish they'd hurry up and put an end to this.

At least if he goes to Memphis he can wear a normal colored suit instead of his Sunkist orange one...

At Memphis Pearl would be the head coach of the top priority team on campus. UT mens basketball is the 3rd priority in Knoxville.

While women's basketball at UT has been much more successful than the men's program, men's basketball is still UT's 2nd biggest sport and moneymaker.

I'm all for tradition, but can't stand it when that tradition takes away from what is more important - the game at hand. All the talk when he first wore it was about him wearing that suit. You heard very little about the game besides a final score.

I'm not a UT fan so I really don't care much to be honest. My comment about his suit was more/less a smartass comment... :lol

This is one thing I really hate about the college coaching profession. Contracts don't mean hardly anything, and if some team shows an interest in a coach under contract, the current team usually has to give a big contract extension to keep him.

I think fans just really want colleges to honor the contracts of coaches, and for coaches to honor their contracts with the colleges.
