The Titans plan to take a look at some of the top receivers in this year’s NFL Draft, including Florida’s Percy Harvin.

Harvin is scheduled to make a pre-draft visit to the Titans this month, his agent said Wednesday. North Carolina’s Hakeem Nicks is also scheduled to visit Baptist Sports Park the second week of April, his agent said.

The Titans have the 30th pick in the first round of the April 25-26 Draft.

The Titans haven't used a first-round pick on a receiver since 1998, when they selected Kevin Dyson.

The Titans are also expected to bring in some of the draft’s other top receivers, , including Maryland’s Darrius Heyward-Bey, in the coming weeks. Rutgers receiver Kenny Britt has already been scheduled for a visit, and LSU’s Demetrius Byrd is scheduled to visit April 8-9.

NFL teams are allowed to host 30 players on pre-draft visits.

I really hope we address WR early in the draft this year, regardless of whether we sign Holt.

I would love to get Nicks. I could care less about Harvin. I doubt we atke a reciever in the first round and it is unikely either will be around when we pick in the second.

I can't imagine picking a receiver on the first day.

If we do sign Holt, we may not draft a WR period.

I guess we'll see. I just have a feeling this year will be the year we go after one early. Possibly second round.

In addition to receivers, we also brought in Josh Freeman.

"According to a league source, the Titans are hosting Maryland wide receiver Darrius Hayward-Bey on Wednesday, along with Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman, as they continue the process of evaluating prospects for the 2009 NFL Draft."

"The Titans are still in search of a third quarterback to add to Kerry Collins and Vince Young, be it a veteran or a draft choice. Kansas State’s Freeman, 6-6, 250, has impressed with his workouts and game knowledge to the point that he has elevated himself into conversation of potentially being a first-round quarterback along with Georgia’s Matthew Stafford and Southern Cal’s Mark Sanchez. He completed 224 of 382 passes for 2,945 yards his final year with the Wildcats, with 20 touchdown passes to just eight interceptions."

Florida WR Percy Harvin tested positive for marijuana at the combine, according to various sources, including one NFL team.

Though NFLDraftBible.com took a lot of criticism a couple of weeks ago, and perhaps rightfully so, for naming six players as having tested positive for marijuana or banned substances at the Scouting Combine, we’ve confirmed that one of the players outed by the web site — Florida receiver Percy Harvin — indeed tested positive for marijuana at the Combine.

The impact of the result on Harvin’s draft standing remains to be seen (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/04/14/harvins-positive-result-is-confirmed/)

Reportedly he is in danger of slipping out of the 1st round.

Massaquoi would be an interesting pick in the 3rd/4th round or so.

I'm ready for the Titans to really upgrade at WR and the Washington signing was a good step. Still, we need to do more. Massaquoi just strikes me as another Paul Williams so IDK. I know he's rising on draft boards but I'd rather have Ramses Barden or even Johnny Knox. I also like Juaquin Iglesias in the 2nd or 3rd, although I'm not sure he lasts 3 rounds.

This should be just about all the visits.

Looking at this I am going to say we will either go CB, WR, or LB in the first round. I kind of thought we would look at more of the top D linemen.
