A very fitting name for a place for us all to get together and make plans to mingle.

Thank you Linda for being so kind and helpful to me when I knew no one and knew so little about posting and such.

I miss you...

A heartfelt and classy touch. I never knew Tana, I started at the TOMB too late, but I feel like I know her a little bit from the tributes I saw on the TOMB. And now naming the meetup/tailgating/tribute/memorial board for her does make this place feel like "ours", the TOMB posters', instead of just another Titans forum.

Like Titans and Turtles, I didn't find the TOMB in time to have the pleasure of meeting Tana. Those of you that I have met have made sure that her memory lives on.

There is no more appropriately named forum on this board. :thumbsup

Same here. This just goes to prove that the TOMB and now TT is more than just a message board, it's a family

If you all only knew what you missed. The TOMB changed the day she died and never was the same. I hope we can instill some of her faith and friendship to fellow NFL fans and the way she did.

This is perfect. I still miss her, she always found the good in whatever situation was going on. I still have her number programed in my phone, I have started to delete it several times but said it wasn't hurting anything and left it.

The one and only time I got a chance to meet Linda was fittingly enough, at a tailgate. It was the scrimmage picnic/tailgate prior to hosting the Dolphins in a scrimmage game at the then Coliseum. I had tickets with my dad and his wife but Linda insisted that I use one of her tickets that she wasn't using and sit with them, to be closer to the playing field.

During the scrimmage there was the threat of rain and Linda disappeared for a bit, only to come back with a rain poncho for her, myself, and the other person sitting with us. Yet another act of kindness and generosity from someone I'd only met just a couple hours before.

That's my lasting image of Linda - helping others. :)

I joined the TOMB right before her passing so I never got to meet her. But from all I hear about her, she seemed to be a great person to have around and a great Titans fan.

I was lucky to start tailgating when she was around for at least a couple of years. She was one of the first people at the tailgate to greet me, and she was one of the kindest people I knew in the group.

Not long before she passed away, she told me about her trip to a road game in California. She got to fly up on the team plane and meet the players, Mike Keith, and Wycheck. It sounded like an awesome experience.

I still remember her funeral. All of her Titans jerseys were hanging by her casket, her scrapbook with tons of pictures and autographs weas in the reception area, and a book with all of the posts from her passing away thread were printed out for visitors to read. It was the ultimate Titans fan funeral.

She was a very special woman.

I still have a tribute that John McClain did somewhere on my computer. I'll see if I can find it and post it somewhere.

I also did not get to meet Linda. I moved to Nashville the July following her death. At that time, I hadn't known a soul before moving here. I remember looking on the TOMB, and the regulars were mentioning that it would be great if some "new blood" came to the preseason opening tailgate.

ForRealTitansFan was the first person that I bought a ticket from. I was fortunate to also meet Yvette, TitanPop, Jones31, MikeMcFan, and a few others whose names escape me at this time. Your friendliness and generosity to a complete stranger looking to meet some people and start his life over will never be forgotten.

Linda may be gone in physical being, but those of you who knew her have carried on her spirit. I too feel as if I somehow knew her. If she could see what has transpired since her passing, I'm sure she would give you all a stamp of approval. Thanks again my good friends!

Try this out and let me know if you can download it. You'll have to look down the page a bit until you see a Download File button. It's centered on the page underneath a couple ads. It's an MP3, about 1MB in size. There's no virus in it, if anyone is worried about that.

Incorrect linking code.
Please try again

Try it now. You'll have to wait a few seconds for the link to appear (part of the rules for using that site). The actual link appears about halfway down the page on the right side. It'll say Proceed to File Download Page. Then the instructions I listed above should be correct.

I should go stand in the rain for a while...

I think I will.

Thank you for naming this after her.

Linda was one of the 1st TOMB'ers I met so many years ago, she always had time to listen when I needed to talk, gosh I miss her so very much. :sad

As long as we keep her memory alive, she will always be close to us.

Luv ya Tanaanna, her 1st TOMB name.

Linda was the only person capable of make everyone shake hands after a strong dissagreement. She will always be a very special person to me. Never had the pleasure to met her in person...but he sure could transmit a very special spirit through her posts.

You are missed Tana!

you all can thank..

I wouldnt mind seeing a forum named for tana.... of course it could only be a forum of all things good.
for giving me the idea to suggest this.

really a forum dedicated to fans gathering together both on a real and virtual level seemed to be the perfect tribute for tana.

i got to meet her several times including at tailgates, at the restaurant where she hosted some draft day gathering and also one season were some of us went over to metro plex to say bye to the team buses as they left.

she was a grand lady who went out of the way to make other comfortable and she has been greatly missed.

also one season were some of us went over to metro plex to say bye to the team buses as they left.

She was the leader of that bunch... the team send off was becoming another one of her trademarks.

Maybe we can send them off once this year in her honor.

I would also love to try and get the scrimmage picnic going again. Those things were a blast!!!!

Dave,

If they have the scrimmage game again, I will do my best to get us parking passes and the same tailgate spot. I can not make any promises because there are so many new faces at BSP.

I am in for at least one send off in her honor.

Reading all of this just makes me miss her that much more. That picture that you posted Pops, I can just see her standing there with that sign, waving to the players as they pull out. They always appreciated that and Tana always got it going. I am so glad y'all started this forum, it's perfect!!!!!

I have to say that I have her to thank for my relationship with all you great people I now consider my friends. I still miss her and I don't think I will ever stop, isn't it funny how attached you can get to people in such a short amount of time?
