The Titans recently turned in what they considered to be evidence that the Redskins had contact with Haynesworth before he became a free agent in February. The league indicated to the Titans that it planned to look into the matter.

The Titans did not file a formal grievance with the NFL. Instead, they turned in newspaper articles and audio from a Washington, D.C.-area radio station in which a Redskins official made what the Titans felt were incriminating comments.
The main problem I see is that the NFL already has seen this evidence. It isn't anything that is new. You would think the NFL would have done something about it already if that evidence was enough to convict a team of tampering.

But does the NFL avtively pursue tampering, or do they wait until a team requests that they look into it?

They have to wait until a team files.

You're probably right. I was looking at the Lance Briggs tampering article, and the Bears filed a tampering charge against the 49ers.

Ive noticed Goodell likes to take his time on making sure his decisions are politically correct. I wasn't expecting anything out of the tampering charges by now. We might see some kind of action nearer to the draft if ever.

I don't expect to see anything come out of this. If we get a pick or something though I would be happy.

In the 49ers-Bears case, Goodell made the 49ers switch picks with the Bears in the 3rd round. Since the Redskins actually did take Haynesworth away (as opposed to Briggs remaining in Chicago), it could result in picks being switched in even higher rounds.
One problem is that the Redskins don't have a 2nd round pick this year. They pick 13th in the first round. If Goodell really wanted to punish the Skins, he could have us swap first round picks.

Like that will ever happen. But it would be nice:D

I don't have any hope of that but it's really nice to think about! We'd probably use it on ST though :lol

That would be sweet!

It's nice to think about. But how often does something this good fall into our laps? lol Well see though.

Well...I think that players' representatives always move faster than what it's said or should be followed by the rules.
