Normally I try not to revel in other teams' troubles, but the way the Jets and their fans took everything 10 steps too far after three weeks...

This is kind of come-uppance, IMO.

I don't understand how you can roll up over 300 yards rushing and LOSE to as dreadful a team as Buffalo.

Mark Sanchezint!

Yep. His downhill started way too fast after their second or third game.

He has 5 TD passes and 10 Ints.

LOL, they were calling him "Sanchize" in NY after three weeks. But if things don't improve quick, the only mention of "franchise" when it comes to this kid will have something to do with an assistant manager position at KFC.

I sometimes wonder about Schottenheimer as an OC. He's never really had much of a grip on the running game. He abandoned it down the stretch last year and put the ball in the hands of an aging Brett Favre even with the conference's leading rusher in the backfield healthy. December in New York is when you want to lean on the run game, not abandon it.

I think he's a little overly-enamored of Washington as well. He is a playmaker and should have the ball 5-10 times a game, but I want him getting the ball in space more as opposed to taking carries away from the traditional ground game. Last year vs. the Titans it seemed we shut down Jones, but those 1 and 2 yard runs turned into 3-5 yard runs by the end of the game and he ended up with like 96 yards. This is how you wear down defenses, much like Eddie used to do here.

When you go to the well too often with a back like Washington, you kill drives wating for that home run. He's a great player and any coach would be foolish to not find ways to get the ball into his hands, but he's not someone who can carry it 20-25 times a game and get the offense into a rhythm.
