Just found this little gem on espn.com. Sorry if it's a repost. I looked but didn't see it anywhere. You have to read pretty far down into the article but it seems the Titans were one of only two teams, along with the Cowboys, interested in Miles Austin coming out of college. (Of course they were. He was a receiving "project" from a college few even knew existed. A typical Titans draft pick, huh?).

The Titans thought enough of the kid to send then-Recceivers coach Ray Sherman to evaluate him at his pro day. After the workout, Sherman recommended Austin to the Titans' front office as a potential draft pick. The Titans took Jonathan Orr instead. :doh

Ray Sherman is now the receivers coach with the Cowboys.

Austin benefits from Tony Romo's accuracy. Our QB situation wouldn't produce anything close to what the last two weeks have been for Miles Austin. Plus Austin played 2 weak pass defenses in Kansas City and Atlanta.

If Britt, Washington, and Gage played with Favre or P. Manning, I bet that they would look much better than they do here.

One of the misses that really gets to me was taking Lendale with Maurice Jones Drew on the table. Man, him & CJ (if we still would've taken him) would have made one Hell of an exciting backfield.

As they say though, hindsight is 20/20.

It is 20/20, but at least with LenDale over MJD the Titans got a solid player as well. But Jonathan Orr? That's a real... :nutkick
