Tyrone Hartsfield has been found guilty of attempted first degree murder in the shooting of former Jaguars offensive lineman Richard Collier.

The six-person jury determined after a short deliberation that prosecutors had sufficiently proved that Hartsfield shot Collier 14 times.

Collier had beaten out Khalif Barnes for the starting left tackle position entering the 2008 season. The shooting paralyzed Collier from the waist down. Eventually, one of his legs was amputated.

Per Twitter

Players voted Richard Collier as Ed Block Courage Award winner. Collier greeted his teammates following practice. Pretty cool scene.

I thought this was awesome. I really wish Collier all the best. Apparently he's doing well.

see, its stories like this that make you look at football and life from an ojbective point of view!!! :cry no matter which team you like football wise or what ever! his , and then micheal oher of the ravens! i wish richard all the best in his life! in my view , he has already one the battle, because he could be sad, depressed about his situation, but when he is doing things like this, this is what life is all about. its not always about the situation, but its how you let it make you a better person.
