Outside of your favorite team's venue in any sport, what is your favorite stadium? (pics are a plus)

Nice Topic.

I would have to go with Ford Field. I saw Wrestlemania 23 there and the Titans/Lions Thanksgiving Day game last season. Plently of room on the concourse, good food selection, and just an overall beautiful stadium.

Very cool topic.

I have enjoyed watching college footballs oldest rivalry about 5 times.

"The Game" is what they call it when Harvard plays Yale. The Yale Bowl for all it's age is full of character. It's old but really neat to see.

My favorite stadium that I have been to is Great American Ball Park in Cincy. I sat in the first row in the right field bleachers and saw an amazing over-the-wall catch by a St. Louis Cardinal in a game a few years ago. I also saw home runs that went over my section toward the water.

I used to live only a stones throw away from the stadium a few years back and was there before and after the renovation. I like LP, but how they renovated lambeau is how you redesign a stadium. Absolute perfection. And the game experience itself is amazing there. (I went to the 2004 Titans game there, epic fail by the packers)

It's too bad the Orioles stink it up.

I remember growing up in Columbia, MD, and going to Camden Yards the first year it was open. Left Field Bleachers - and the Orioles were actually competetive back then. I remember the first time I saw Boog Powell at his Barbecue pit, and was amazed - here was an actual Oriole legend actually serving food and chatting up the fans/customers. The atmosphere was magic - I had been to dozens of games at old Memorial stadium, and a handful at some other parks, but nothing compared to that first year at Camden. It felt like the 1920's had leapt out of an old photo and into life.

Although I am not an Oriole fan, my childhood weeps for what that team has become, and feels bad that such an absolutely beautiful ballpark hosts such an abomination.

I was hoping Ripken and the O's would win it all in the nineties.

They had a chance; they brought in some talent, but ultimately fell short to the Yankees and Indians.

Regarding Lambeau, I was up in Green Bay a couple years ago and didn't even know where it was.

Here I am, driving through what I think is a residential neighborhood, when the stadium just appears on my left, along with the Packers Hall of Fame on the right.

I envy the people who have houses across the street from a legendary venue such as that.

yeah it really is just in a little neighborhood...although I thought the streets you were on might give it away...like lombardi avenue and holmgren way. :lol

here is a good pic of it just set in a neighborhood

It would have been nice. But at least Ripken got one ring so he didn't have to endure a lifetime of "One of the best players that never..."

For the game. Austin Peay is playing there next season and although I know we'll get our a** kicked, I'd like to go just to be there.

My favorite baseball stadium out there...and yes, I have been to the new yankee stadium. This stadiums puts it to shame. It has without a doubt the best neighborhood out of all stadiums I have been to on the pro level. And in the spring, the cherry blossoms that line the outfield are amazing to look at. Too bad the team sucks

I was there last weekend and I'll be there next weekend. For a stadium that only holds 35,000 fans (and that is stretching it) it is one loud stadium.

The blue field definitely makes it unique. Watching a game on TV from Bronco stadium hurts my eyes after a while though...lol

It comes across a lot brighter on tv than it does in person. In person, and after having been to a few games, I don't even really notice the field anymore.

Soldier Field is another good one. I remember seeing it back in 1998 before the "renovation" and it was pretty sweet then. My grandfather remembers back in the day when he lived in Chicago and the Chicago Public HS vs. Private HS championship game would take place there. And believe it or not, he remembers watching cars race inside the stadium. I have no photos but here are some I found to be pretty good:
