That said, I am never defending Cutler again. He is a moron in the red zone.

There's no defending Cutler for this season's performance. He has regressed beyond a shadow of a doubt this season. He has single-handedly cost the Bears in 4 of their 5 losses.

kfmac70

Cutler's issue has become leadership.

The defense doesn't believe in him, and he spends no time cultivating a relationship with his teammates except arguing about what they did wrong and yelling at them. He's a terrible leader. He's a cocky punk and I've been watching this garbage since 2002.

I have never been down on Cutler but tonight is my breaking point.

HE'S THE REASON VANDY NEVER WON #6 while he was there, HE'S THE REASON DENVER CHOKED A GOOD SEASON, and HE'S THE REASON THE BEARS ARE 4-5 and going to miss the playoffs.

It's not going to get any better for Chicago

After a heart-wrenching loss in San Fran on Thursday night, the Chicago Bears are left looking for answers to a cornucopia of questions. One might be more pressing than others: what will we get out of Orlando Pace for the rest of the season?

Vaughan McClure of the Chicago Tribune elected to bury what we feel is the lead in a post following the game: "left tackle Orlando Pace said he was feeling a little dizzy late in the game, so he might have sustained a concussion." Pace was knocked out of the game with what was originally described as having his wind knocked out. A concussion is obviously much worse.

According to the depth chart on the Bears website, Kevin Shaffer is the swing tackle backup and he replaced Pace on Thursday night. We'll have more on Pace when further tests come back on his noggin.

Denver falls to Washington. :huh

They are 0-3 and we are 3-0 since we got their punter.

Carolina is on a nice 4 game win streak after starting 0-5. Could they be the first team to start 0-5 and make the playoffs?

The Jags are 5-4 and play Buffalo at home next week. They could easily take over 2nd place in the AFC South if the Titans take care of business against the Texans. If the Titans keep winning, we need the Texans to beat the Jags, which gives the Titans the tiebreaker over both of them (if we win out).

And way to go Bengals!!!! 1st place in the AFC North by basically two games with the tiebreaker.

It was quite interesting to watch the Titans' receivers run their pass patterns today. Kenny Britt and Nate Washington run nice, crisp routes whether or not they are part of the play. Lavelle Hawkins, on the other hand, ran very lazy patterns that would have never convinced me the ball was coming his way if I was defending him. It's no wonder he can't get playing time; he's not playing PROFESSIONAL football, more like sandlot football.

JaMarcus Russell is the worst QB in the league, maybe in league history. Going 9/25 against the Chiefs, after going 8/23 against them earlier this season, is almost impossible to do considering how bad the Chiefs are on both sides of the ball. Thankfully Tom Cable didn't decide to bench Russell until the 4th quarter, or else the Chiefs might have lost.

Jamaal Charles running for over 100 yards against the Raiders, behind the same offensive line Larry Johnson could only average 2.7 yards per carry, is quite an indictment of where Johnson is and what he has left. Whoever signs him won't get much; I doubt that Johnson is signed for anything longer than the rest of this season.

Every time the Cowboys look ready to become the elite of the NFC, they go out and play like they did today in Green Bay. What was that? I know it's November; apparently Tony Romo and Company are going into hibernation even earlier than they have in previous seasons.

Got to give some consideration for Coach of the Year to Marvin Lewis of the Bengals. After losing in such a heartbreaking manner on Opening Day, he has led his team to a 7-1 record. The Bengals have swept the season series from the Ravens and Steelers. This team is not the Bengals of old ineptitude; they are the Bengals of old contendership.

The Jets' 2-0 start looks further and further away as the season plays on. Mark Sanchez is looking like the rookie he is more and more; he'll still have a great career, but he's going through those struggles right now. Rex Ryan doesn't have much trash to talk about now, does he?

What to make of the enigma that is the Jacksonville Jaguars? Each week no one knows what to expect from them, probably even Coach Jack Del Rio. I like Del Rio, and believe that he has his team overachieving. They don't have the talent to be 5-4, but they've found a way to make it happen.

The Colts came through in the clutch. Manning was clutch when it counted tonite. Also, did anyone notice the copious amount of tape on Brady's knee? But Brady, I am sorry, acted like a bitch when the game was over and headed straight for the tunnel. Sorry, just my take on it. I used to admire him. Thought he was hot and ****...but he appears by my estimation to just be a dick. JMO.

Clutch would have been bringing all the way downfield. That was a gimme for Peyton-Nobody in the universe thought he wouldn't score from there. But, you're right, he did it. AND, Tom Brady is a dick. :)

I don't know, it takes balls to make a call like that. If they make the 2 yards the game is over. Manning from 30 yard out or 65 yards out with two minutes to go doesn't make much difference. He gambled and lost. Those two teams will probably meet again somewhere down the road.. Albeit it will be in Indy.

That wasn't clutch... that was a gift.

True...but I still feel like those 14 points just didn't fall into the Colts' lap. It does suck that they are our rivals and all...both defenses I felt like were not clutch. But if I had to put my money on someone being clutch right now it would be Manning. As much as it sucks to say.

Meanwhile, in Dallas, excuses are still being made for Romo. He sucks in the clutch. Literally, cannot take the pressure. He was awful today and I am not at all surprised. Mentally, he is just not there. JMO.

Brady does not look like he is having fun out there. Just my own observation. He is super scowly and brows furrowed and not enjoying stuff. Maybe he is not uber excited about having another kid with Leo's hand-me downs. I don't know.

The only game I got burnt on with my picks was the Washington/Denver game. I totally picked Denver. Ouch. Burn. I suck.

Prevent defense the drive before then deciding to go for it.... which is going to rank up there as his worst call ever. Sorry can't see it as not just falling into their lap.

brady may not be having "fun" simply because it takes more then a year to really recover from an acl.
one can play but so many reports over the years have mentioned it takes over a full season more to get closer to normal.
he might have felt fine against us but as the season goes on things can get harder.

That is what I thought. I had no idea that the Broncs are going through some kind of weirdo implosion of their own. My other picks though were solid. I beat my stupid friend Kirk who texts me daily to say the Titans suck without proding. At least tonite's game lived up to the hype in the last few minutes. I still would have punted if I were the Emperor. But I am not a coach. They had a decent shot to make it. I think that they are not as good as advertised...the Patriots. Also, they have losses and ****. The Colts have none. Now, granted, it is entirely possible that in their quest for the Holy Grail (perfect season...and I am not saying that they are on said quest) that they could blow their wad along the way. But still...NO didn't look all that great against St. Louis. And yes NO has an explosive offense. But still...in a shoot out with STL? :lmao

just about anyone who undergoes ACL reconstruction feels different the first year, sometimes 18 months. That the noises and the soreness and the swelling all is part of the process of coming back from a significant injury that fells dozens of NFL players every year.
