I'd like to see us get the max no. of primetime games this year. We deserve it... but watch Brady and crew pick up more. I really hope I don't have to endure more sorry Dallas games this year, though. Anything but Dallas! I'd settle for the Lions!

The Titans don't deserve it. We haven't been in a Super Bowl in 10 years and have never won one.
Primetime games go to teams that people want to see, not necessarily teams that play the best. Dallas and Pittsburgh deliver huge ratings, which why they get so many games.

Cleveland had a dream schedule last year (NFC East, Pittsburgh twice, etc). That is way they had so many games (plus they were an offensive powerhouse in 2007). Too bad those prime time games came at a point when Cleveland had no QB and had no chance to do much of anything.

One of those primetime games was at Buffalo, not exactly a 'primetime' market.
I believe we will get one more NBC game, plus 1 MNF game, for 3 in total. That's a solid haul - up to the team to show the world they are indeed ready for primetime. I sure as hell don't want to see this team regress bigtime in front of much bigger audiences. That would just suck. :cry

I got the number of prime time games right, even the NBC home game. I just needed to switch a ESPN game for an NFL Network game.
Note, NFL Network games will be shown on Channel 2 (just like ESPN games) in Nashville for Titans games.

To me, the bye couldn't be at a more perfect time.
If we stumble out of the gate a bit and are 2-4, 3-3 before the bye, it gives us a chance to regroup for the stretch run. We also have 6 of our last 10 games at home, including three in a row. The Christmas night game falls during that 3-game stretch so it's not like we're coming back from a road trip and then have to play on a short week.

Titans at Texans for MNF football. :ohmy How in the heck did that slip by?
Now I am certainly happy about it, but it was completely unexpected.
And look at all those late Sunday games. 2 of them are because we are playing west coast teams, but there are several potentially national CBS games there (Jags, Patriots, and Jets)

this may be the most late regional games they have played.
it is odd that the away games are bunched at the start of the season and
the home ones at the end.
as far as easy..
now days it is just the luck of the draw of which division one is set to play this
season.
only two games now are determined by strength of the finish.

I heard on the radio tonight that the 3 PM Sunday games (alternated between FOX and CBS) have higher veiwing than any other game including Sunday and Monday nights. So Titan fans everywhere should be able to watch half the games on the schedule.

Here is another thing to consider...teams coming off byes.
We have three games where teams will be coming off byes and playing us next. The Jags on Nov 1, the Bills on Nov 15, and the Texans on Nov 23.
I haven't really seen the Titans in this situation, but they have their bye before the Jags game as well. (happened last year with Chiefs as well)
Another thing...Holiday games.
Day after Halloween - home game with Jags (always fun day for a game)
Sunday after Thanksgiving - home game with Cardinals (playing a bird-themed team after Thanksgiving is awesome)
Christmas - home game with Chargers (maybe a Christmas light theme - "Chargers")

has anyone heard about this? The Jets requested away games for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur due to their large jewish population but, instead where scheduled to play the patriots and the titans at home.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4073075
the interesting part to me is "Katz, the NFL's senior VP of broadcasting, told the newspaper. "There was miscommunication between the Jets and the NFL office, for which I take full responsibility. All we can continue to do is look and see if there is a solution to this." "
I wonder what type of solution there could possibly be?
Sect309Fan
04-16-2009, 11:07 AM
The Jets and Giants share the same stadium. They have 16 home games combined in a 17 week season. They can't host any MNF or Thursday night games due to construction of the new stadium.
There really isn't a good solution. They could have avoided one week, or they could have given the Giants one of those two home games instead of the Jets. You just can't have two Sundays off for that stadium.
The Giants did get their way, but they actually have won something in the last 30 years. ;)
