I know who loses.
The fans of schools from every other conference.

They should be grateful that the SEC has a title game. Otherwise the National Championship game would be Bama-Florida.

What exactly have either of them done to prove they deserve to be ahead of Texas? Most fans outside the SEC hate the bias it gets and everything to do with it because of that bias. Hence my previous post.

Just look at the computer polls which take away the bias.
Alabama and Florida are both tied for #1. Cincinnati is #3. Texas is #4, and TCU is #5.
The bigger question is why Cincinnati isn't playing in the title game instead of Texas.

Computer polls that take into account stuff like strength of schedule and conference strength aren't biased? You can't really believe that. The SEC currently benefits more than any other conference simply because they are the SEC.

So you are admitting the Big East is tougher than the Big 12? Because that is what the computers are saying. Cincy has beaten more ranked teams than Texas so far, though they will tie after this week.

I am not saying either is tougher and just brought up Texas as an example in my first post. I could have just as easily mentioned any of the undefeated teams.
Florida, Alabama, and too many other SEC teams are often given way too much credit simply because they beat up on bad teams in non conference play and then play each other tough in conference play. When that happens in other conferences the media often times says stuff like "Conference X is weak" or "Conference X is having a down year". I just get sick of seeing certain programs in football (and even college basketball) getting way too much credit based off of reputation and nothing else.
The top SEC schools, Big 12 schools (and certain other programs throughout the country) no doubt have the most talent in college sports but that doesn't mean they have the better team. Major League Baseball is flawed in many ways with its lack of salary cap and salary bottom but it at least shows that in most years having the most talent on a team doesn't mean you're the best.
Anyways, my posts are off topic and will end up in me ranting about how college football needs an extended playoff system, so I'll just cut this short and say I think Alabama will win.

Well those fans outside the conference need to go look at the SEC's record over out of conference opponents, especially in bowl games. And here's another thing, the SEC has 10 bowl eligible teams. I'm pretty sure no other conference can boast that, nor even that percentage.
The SEC has proven year in and year out that it is the best conference and if people don't believe it then they're just in denial. It's won 4 of the last 6 National Championships. There is a reason playing in the SEC gives teams a greater strength of schedule, cus its a better conference! Alabama and Florida going undefeated in it is just unreal especially with that many good teams this year in the conference, any one of them could knock off anybody at any time. That's what puts them ahead of Texas. And actually Bama has had to go through the tougher schedule because the West has been better than the East this year top to bottom with Miss. St. just missing out on a bowl invite.
Oh and Bama's gonna win.

florida , to only get beat by my horns in the national championship. colt mccoy baby!!!!!
Florida or Bama, either way the SEC wins, because the winner will become national champion...again.

Quite a tautology. Of course the SEC benefits more than any other conference -- it's the BEST conference and that is the way relative strength adjustments are supposed to work. Why should we be ashamed of that?
It's just a fact of life that some teams, conferences, people, and countries do things better than others. If you want your conference to get more credit, you have two choices -- improve it or become an SEC fan....

And it isn't like the SEC gets the benefit of the doubt all the time. It really had a down year in basketball last year, and the selection committee only let 4 teams from the SEC play in the NCAAs because of it.
The SEC isn't going to let that happen again.

Agreed.
Auburn went undefeated in 2004 and was left out of the BCS title game.
I believe teams from the Pac 10 and Big 12 met that year.
Auburn would've probably put up a better fight than Oklahoma.

Alabama played a heck of a game. I just was disappointed in Tebow. He just didn't play like a champion today.

Congrats to Alabama and their fans! They played a heck of a game and just wanted it more. I have no bias toward either team. I hate them equally within the conference. :lol
That said, early on I thought the Tide received a few gratuitous non-calls. The first really didn't matter because the Gators scored a TD on the drive anyway. A few plays before the TD catch, there was a late push out of bounds on Tebow. My 73 year-old mother in-law (who was pulling for 'Bama) said to me "I thought they couldn't hit a guy once he was out of bounds," before I could say anything. Also on Ingram's long reception there was a blatant hold that opened it up. The Florida player held was #32 and I think it was either 75 or 77 that held him. I can't remember now. The guy quickly held his hands up in the classic, "Hey, I wasn't holding" pose.
I don't think there was enough evidence on the foot being out of bounds to overturn the call on the field on that same play though.
That said, I don't believe those two plays changed the outcome of the game. Alabama dominated Florida in every phase of the contest.
Still, I'm somewhat disppaointed as an SEC fan. I'd rather Florida represent the conference in the National Championship than Alabama. I'd feel much better about the SEC's chances. They could rematch tomorrow and I'd take Florida in a heartbeat. In fact, I'd pick Florida 10 out of 10 times.
Dream scenario - Texas lays an egg and loses to Nebraska and maybe get an Alabama-Florida rematch. It would be hard to deny one of the undefeated teams but I'd take a 1-loss Florida team over either of them.
