After that putrid performance, I would say no. They were saved a loss to the #22 team in the country (who has nothing resembling an offense) simply because some idiot kid kicked off out-of-bounds. If I were the coach the kid would be thumbing a ride home to Nebraska without a scholarship.

LOL
he's actually a pretty damn good kicker, just had a John Kasay moment. Plus allowing a 19 yard completion plus horse collar didn't help. I really wanted to see TCU or Cincy get in the game so im severely disappointed right now.

The kicker, Adi Kunalic, is a junior and has always been pretty reliable. I know that Coach Pelini didn't want him to kick it down the middle of the field, but that doesn't mean out of bounds.

Last week Alabama didn't look so hot against Auburn. Everyone was ready to cry as Tim Tebow waved goodbye...last week. ESPN was practically in tears...that Tim would be leaving college...and Florida. Florida wasn't so hot this year either...Tennessee Chatanooga...Florida International...but there was barely a whimper about the non-teams they creamed this year. Texas won ugly tonite. But then...I thought at least the SEC fans could appreciate a low scoring, ugly, rival game...because every year that is the type of game they play. Seriously. We can all pick and quivvel about playoffs and the BCS and whether Cincy or TCU are getting screwed (I personally think they are and want a playoff system) but SEC fans are a bit of the pot calling the kettle black about low scoring ugly wins decided by a field goal. But then we are supposed to believe all of the opponents they face in said ugly ass field goal saving low scoring ass games are legit contenders...lol. Sorry for the rant...but sick of all the hypocrisy...

If Alabama is in the national championship game by blocking a field goal from a 7-5 UT team at home, then Texas deserves to play.
I thought the national championship game was played last night and Bama won.

See what yall don't seem to get is that SEC teams have traditional good defenses and thats what they're known for. The Big 12 lately only wants to talk about their wide open offenses that score a lot of points, especially teams like Texas and Oklahoma. Last night they came up against a decent defense and almost lost, I can't wait to see what they do against the best defense in the nation. I'm glad they won cus Bama is gonna kill them in the title game.
