I don't think the NCAA even knows if this is a violation or not. I don't puch too much stock in it. Unless there was money trading hands, nothing will come of it.

Like THAT doesn't happen everywhere.

I don't see anything coming from this either but maybe Lane will shut his trap about the NCAA and investigations from here on out....:lol

Oh the irony....:lol

We hope you didn't get the impression that Tennessee is the only school to use attractive young ladies as bait to lure prospective athletes, because it's actually a college football tradition as revered as marching bands and beer bongs.

According to the legends, the practice was first instituted in the 1960's by Bear Bryant at Alabama. His Bear's Angels became a staple of the college recruiting landscape, and in their own way, became more famous than the recruits themselves. The groups were usually created and organized by school officials—these days they are often attached to the school admissions office—but operated in a shady netherworld as a vital part of any large program, yet detached from the athletic department in an intricate web of plausible deniability.

Sounds like a whole lot of nothing too me. The NCAA is always crawling up somebodys' ass.

This sounds like the NCAA/NY Times blowing up a story where none really exists. Some young ladies went to a football game. Wow. Even if they're a part of the Orange Pride group or whatever, big deal. Apparently they went to the game on their own. The NCAA needs to chill unless money changes hands, etc.

nobody should be getting investigated until the reggie bush/usc scandal is over.
