Me too.
It's great to read that Dinger has figured out how to make their personalities work together, even when it means walking away.
I really like that VY watches the UT national championship tape, too. He's learned how to motivate himself.
I didn't think it was probable that he'd work through so many things in such a short period of time, but holy cow he has. He's an inspiration and I think he's going to be just fine :)

With everything that's happened, and how things played out, and how he naturally is, I'm not at all surprised VY managed to get his swagger back, reclaim his confidence.
But what has been surprising, perhaps shocking, to me, is the amount of technical skill at playing a pocket QB he's picked up. I've long said Vince could be successful somewhere else where they'd run a very non-traditional offense, and that VY was special, but he'd never be a good pocket passer.
So far in his rebirth, he's proving me wrong. VY is not all emotions and scrambles anymore. He looks like a bona-fide NFL quarterback. Except he's still VY, the man who won't lose, who can carry team in crunch time like few ever did.
It's exciting. God I hope we find a way to get him one more good WR. I think Britt is showing himself to be the #1 quality WR we haven't had since Mason left... but we need one more guy who can actually catch a pass, and that ain't Nate or Gage.

this was my favorite part of the article.
He can never replace Pops, but he took McNair's young sons to their school's Dear Dads breakfast this semester, accompanies them to Dave & Buster's on Friday nights and leaves them tickets whenever they want. He is not looking for a father figure anymore. He is one.

I think Dinger should replace fish as HC. Make us an offensive team. Vy loves to have a coach who he develops a relationship with but Fish won't be that guy. So far it seems to be dinger. And he is the right guy to run our offense. We need to cut fish lose, promote dinger and get a REAL DC then we should be fine. I hope no one is calling for alan lowrys head because of our ST. It's fish fault for giving him the horrible personnel. Bud needs to make a team oriented move instead of trying to be loyal. i was through with fish once he doned the manning jersey

It is in this week's SI, if you want to get a copy. I got mine in the mail yesterday, so it should be on newsstands soon (look for "Sweet win Alabama" on the cover).
It was a great article, and it did confirm that Vince went to McNair's sons in the stands right after the winning TD against the Cards.

Great article.
Also, i guess VY wasnt listening to his iPod.
"Some people thought it was an iPod," linebacker Keith Bulluck says. "It wasn't." Young was listening to every offensive call, and when Bulluck asked him what the Titans were about to run, Young relayed the name of the play and how to execute it. "If the safety comes over," he'd tell Bulluck, "we have to check down."

References to the earbuds being part of a Ipod started as a joke. Amazing how it took on a life of its own. ;)
Not to get anything started.... but I think I saw KC listening to his last week.

That iPod thing was a complete crock. I think the rumor started on the TOMB to be honest. Anyways, it was a touching article. I think Mac's death was a blessing in disguise for Vince because it forced him to re-visit his previous choices and I think he really came of age at that point. The fact that he is acting as a father figure for Mac's kids is a testament to his new found maturity. I think he learned that chances like this (playing in the NFL) only come once in a lifetime and that you have to seize those chances because nobody knows when you'll be gone.
