Broncos 8-6
Ravens 8-6
Jaguars 7-7
Jets 7-7
Steelers 7-7
Titans 7-7
Dolphins 7-7
Texans 7-7
If the Titans win out, they have tiebreakers over Texans and Dolphins.
1. Jets have to lose one (IND, CIN) or Miami (HOU, PIT) wins out
2. Steelers beat Ravens and lose @Miami.
3. Jaguars lose one (@NE, @CLE)
4. Ravens lose two (@PIT, @OAK)
5. Broncos lose two (@PHI, KC)
4 of the 5 have to happen.
If #5 does happen, then the Steelers just have to lose at least one game. If #5 doesn't happen, the first four do have to happen.

the titans could get in though with the steelers losing out and the broncos losing out right?
the steelers dont need to beat the ravens for them to get in if #4 is the 1 out of 5 that does not happen right?

This is the most likely scenario: miami wins out, steelers beat ravens, jags lose to NE, and then EITHER ravens lose in oakland OR broncos lose to eagles AND chiefs. It's not beyond the realm of possibilities.

if we beat san diego and seattle it will be crushing when we dont make it :(... it would be 0-6 to 9-7 and miss out on tie breakers :( all because we didnt play the right QB...surely we could have at least gone 1-5

If we had beaten Indy alot of this would be moot. We still put ourselves here but no matter what I'm still proud of the fight in our team.

Yes, that was in my last comment. The Steelers could lose one (or both) if the Broncos lose out.

If Miami wins out and Baltimore and the steelers finish 8-8....jets, jags, texans all 8-8 or worse...and the titans win out....then we win in NE, in Indy.......and Miami wins in Cincinatti, in San Diego....and since we would own the 5th seed we then host them for the AFC Title at LP Field....Now how bout them apples?

There are 19 teams still in contention for a trip to SB XLIV with 2 weeks (& 1 game) remaining.

There's a lot of magic in that VY young guy, I don't know for sure if he's out of magic beans yet or not.
(For reference, I am not giving VY sole credit for the turnaround, the Miami game, or anything specific. I am not even commenting on direct on the field results. I am merely applying the scientifically proven fact that Vince Young is made out of pure magic energy, and I'm not sure the well is dry just yet. It seems unlikey, to be sure, but legends aren't built by cashing in on the routine).

This week will definitely be interesting... all of the teams in the hunt will be playing teams who are already in the playoffs if the season ended today (except HOU@MIA).
This is the most likely scenario: miami wins out, steelers beat ravens, jags lose to NE, and then EITHER ravens lose in oakland OR broncos lose to eagles AND chiefs. It's not beyond the realm of possibilities.
No, but it's on the edge looking over into the abyss! :D
But hey, miracles happen each and every day and we could just get one of them!! :thumbsup
