We're in the Main Event parking lot at 4th and Main and all are welcome to join us, including rival fans.

Directions: I-24 to exit 47a (Spring St/Ellington Pkwy). Do not continue the Ellington Pkwy loop; continue forward to the Main St. intersection and turn right. Fight your way over to the far right lane and you'll see the entrance. Tell the attendants you're with the TOMB tailgaters in the back lot. We occupy the entire bottom left or SW corner. Parking is $20 and it's a secure lot.

Food:

We've talked about the menu the last couple of weeks, and so far us tailgaters are bringing ham, possibly turkey, rolls to make sandwiches, rum cake, mac and cheese, corn souffle, and something else I can't remember. I'm thinking about bringing a green bean casserole too.

If I can find them, I'm going to grab a few sterno buffet kits. The more I thought about it, just seemed to make sense especially if it's cold. TTP and Kim - if I find them, would you all be willing to use foil pans? I'll be sure to give you the dimensions ASAP.

I'm looking for a tabletop LED tree, too :lol

I think I will bring coffee and whatever y'all suggest to put in it. What is best Baily's or Kaluha or should I bring both. The coffee will be black so you will have to add what you want to it.

things have just gone bizarre for me; one reason i havent made the previous gates.
and now with it going to be so cold i doubt i will be around for the last one.
even though it was sorta warm today i came home and wrapped up in a blanket and was still cold.

I got four buffet kits and the foil pan dimensions are 11-3/4 x 9-1/4 x 2-1/2, so no bigger than that. Less is fine if you're not making that much, just not deeper. I'll go ahead and make a green bean casserole, leaving three burners for souffle, mac 'n cheese, and kielbasa. Or not, if you have alternate plans for keeping stuff warm :)

I'm still looking for an LED tree but may have to go with one that isn't lit. Fun problem to have :lol

Homer

Homer and the Mrs. will be there, and will bring something, Cokes, and something.
Go Titans. Let's derail the Lightning Bolt win streak.

I'll go to the store tomorrow after work and pick some stuff up for the tailgate.

Yvette
12-23-2009, 09:09 PM
The gates open at 2:30 and I'll do my best to get us there by 3pm. With this being the last tailgate, I want to squeeze every moment out of it :)

I do have the power supply, will I need to bring it? You can plug a standard 110 volt plug into it. As far as how long it will last, I can't say, but it will last long enough for a few toasts and pictures etc. Again, do I need to bring the power supply, if not I will leave it under my tree wrapped, I will have to unwrap it and charge it up tomorrow if needed.

I have the Fireplace loaded up on the trailer, the wood is cut, split and loaded into the back of the truck. The truck bed is covered of course, so it will be dry and ready to burn and keep us warm. I went out today and bought one of those 2.2 liter pump type coffee carafes they say it will keep the coffee hot for hours, and of course a large bottle of Baileys. :toast

Yoshi, did your kit come with the SS pans that you put water in? Then put the aluminum disposable pans in them. Those are the best because they keep the food from burning and spread the heat evenly.

Great... The pans I have are a couple inches to big. Sigh...

I have about 10 of those pans, do I need to bring them? I don't have much aluminum foil left so you may need to bring that. Remember you are measuring the container part of the pan and not the outside of the top lip.

I have the unit on charge and it will be ready to go, please bring any extension cords you will need.

The weather calls for cloudy and cold around 45°F for the tailgate and in the mid 30's for the game, NO RAIN, it should be long gone by mid-morning.

See y'all tomorrow.

It's hard to believe this is the last (regular season LOL) tailgate. It seems like a couple of weeks ago we were bitching about the endless pre-season.

See y'all there. Be safe out and about.

Another great season of tailgating in the books!

My only regret was arriving so late and not having enough time to visit with everyone. Danny, so glad you're home safe and sound but wish you could have watched a win!

Win or lose, you all have been the best to hang with, cheer on our team. I've truly looked forward to seeing you at every home game. You've mad it fun and I'm happy to know you :)

Go Titans!

Thank you to all my Friends who make our Tailgates possible and so much fun! They keep getting better every year which is making me anticipate next season already. :thumbsup

Everyone have a Safe and Happy New Year. See You All Next Year !!!!

P.S. .... When do we start planning the draft party????? :dancegrin

Anyone happen to pick up a cooler? Blue, filled with beer? Since we took a cab we just left it after the game. We don't want it back or anything, just wondering if anyone picked it up. Thanks for tailgate, it was good to talk with everyone. Sorry we had to leave early

Had a great time at the tailgate! It was great to finally put faces with the words and avatars. And ya'll were right the shooters creep up on you. Wish we would've won, but the defense was not ready and Vince did not have his greatest game.

The shooters kept me warm for the first quarter or made me numb to the cold :lol
