Why stress over it. The way I see it if the Titans make it it is good times. If they don't then I got over it after the sixth loss. :D

no i wouldnt have but we are here now...i agree with oiler fan on just enjoying everything and all...but i want to make NFL history and get in at 0-6...and play at cincinatti in the first game.
I will not stress to bad until after san diego because i do not feel we can beat them. However should we win that game then yeah i am gonna be stressing. All it takes is a spot in the playoffs. That has been proven many times. whats the difference in wanting to win the Super Bowl so badly at 13-3 or 9-7? just b/c its less probable? When your in you got a shot to get 1. hot 2. Lucky 3. one and done and i am still satisfied because of 0-6 to the playoffs

Just to let you know, if Baltimore and Denver both win, every other team in the AFC is eliminated except for Jacksonville and Miami. If the Jags win out, then Baltimore or Denver have to lose just one game for them to be a wild card. They have tiebreakers over both. Miami can still win the division if they win out and the Pats lose out.

Whatever happens this team showed me something against the Dolphins. They scratched, clawed and they fought their way back in a game that looked like they were going to lose. It is very difficult to regain momentum in a football game once it's lost. It was a gut check win and devestating to Miami. It's what December football is all about.
Now we get a Christmas present, a game on Christmas night!!!! It's a big game against one of the big boys on the block. Can we win it? I'm not sure. After watching them Sunday and even shorthanded as we are, I know the Titans will come out swinging. As unexplainable as the first 6 weeks have been this team is going to go down fighting win or lose. That is saying something...IMO

Denver won't beat Philly-no way. Baltimore may beat Pittsburg, but the Squealers may be fired up after that last win.

•Tennessee finishes ahead of Houston based on divisional record (2-4 to Texans' 1-5).
• # Jacksonville finishes ahead of Miami and Pittsburgh based on conference record (6-4 to the Dolphins' 5-5 and the Steelers' 4-6).
# Miami finishes ahead of Pittsburgh and Tennessee based on conference record (5-5 to the Steelers' 4-6 and the Titans' 4-7).
# Tennessee drops out of 3-way tie with N.Y. Jets and Pittsburgh based on head-to-head (Titans lost to both teams).
# N.Y. Jets finish ahead of Pittsburgh based on conference record (5-5 to the Steelers' 4-6).
# Pittsburgh finishes ahead of Tennessee based on head to head (1-0).

We have the head to head tie breaker against Miami. 305, what does it go by next Div Record or Conf?

Im not even worried about playoffs. I wanted us to beat mia so that when christmas came, we still had alot to play for and that would ensure a very loud lp field.

yeah im not worried about the playoffs, I just want us to beat the **** out of Rivers to be honest. I'm totally happy with a win over the Chargers even if we miss the postseason.

Division record is only used against teams in the same division. Conference record is used after head-to-head between non-divisional teams.
So a Miami-Titans-Steelers tiebreaker at 9-7 would put Miami in as the #5 seed and the Steelers as the #6 seed.

It's really not a scary thought.
After how the Titans started the season, the fact that they're even in the hunt for a spot is great.
That the team didn't give the season up is great.
I'm not big into morale victories but I do like how this team has come back after all they went through.
To me the scary thought was that the Titans had a shot after the start they had. Not bad scary but the good scary!!

The good thing about this game being on a Friday is that we can focus on what we need to do without worrying about the other games. Think of how meaningless this Christmas game would feel if say it were on a Sunday night after all the other games had been played.
It's to our competitive and emotional advantage to have this game played early.

Agreed, it was a scheduling Christmas gift that we go into this game believing it matters for something more than style points. I think we have our hands full and I'm sure not going to guarantee victory. But, I think it helps when the opponent is this good that you have an emotional edge when the game starts. I like our chances. And, win or lose, we can go to Seattle with dreams of CJ breaking some historic records against a team we should dominate so, even if the playoffs aren't still on the table that day, we still have a emotional reason to play peddle to the medal. Lets enjoy all this for however much longer it lasts. Merry Christmas!!!

Like Niagara Titan said, we need to worry about Friday. If the Titans win Friday most likely we will get to the very last weekend with a shot at the playoffs, albeit not even that is guaranteed. Friday is the key for us and all we should be thinking about.
Go Titans.

Dear, Coach Fisher.
All, I want for christmas this year is for Rod Hood to get some playing time, he's been making plays and that's what we need against the chargers.

I didnt say start just get him in on some nickle or dime, not deactivate him.
