Home: Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Denver, Oakland, Philadelphia, Washington, AFC North
Away: Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, San Diego, Dallas, N.Y. Giants, AFC East
------------------------------------------------
First, I am glad to play Denver and Oakland here, and KC and San Diego on the road. We can't beat the Chargers anyway, so we might as well not waste a home game on them. And the Titans have a better shot at winning in KC than in Denver.
Second, the Titans can finish 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in the division. If the Titans lose OR both the Jags and Texans win, we are 4th. If the Titans win AND one of those teams lose, we are 3rd. If the Titans win AND both teams lose, we are 2nd.
If we finish 4th, we play Buffalo and Cleveland.
If we finish 3rd, we play Miami if they lose OR the Jets win. Otherwise it is the Jets. We play the Steelers if they lose OR the Ravens win. Otherwise we play the Ravens.
If we finish 2nd, we play the opposite of the 3rd place scenario.
Looking at the schedule, there is a chance of playing two games in New York's new stadium.
(Update: The Chiefs' and Raiders' schedules are incorrect. If you swap the AFC South teams in their schedule, then it works)

I wonder what home prime time games we could get out of this schedule? Denver and Philly look possible. The Haynesworth return to Tennessee may gain some attention.

If we play Baltimore or Pittsburgh, either one of them could be good as well.

After the Jets lost four games on the west coast in 2008, the NFL decided that it was unfair to travel that far, so they tweaked the schedule. ;)
So now no team has to go to both San Diego and Oakland (besides Denver and KC), and no team has to go to both San Francisco and Seattle (besides Arizona and St. Louis).
Basically, Oakland and KC switched places. The only reason it was set up the old way to begin with was the way teams were in alphabetical order.

Sweet I thought that we would play KC in Tennessee since the last time we played the AFC west schedule we played the Chiefs in KC. I'm glad the NFL changed the schedule for me personally living in Shawnee, Ks. but I do think it is hard to go out to the West coast more than once a year (even thought we took two on the left coast this year) Also, guess it all evens out because before 07 the Titans had never played in Kansas City or atleast since their Oiler days but now it's the 3rd time in 4 years.

I kinda like that home schedule next year.... they better not send the Philly game overseas or I'll be ticked.

I know that the NFL wants every team to play oversees at one point of another but are they thinking of taking that game from us?

I don't know... if they did it's likely that one or Washington if they were.
They usually send one team from each conference.

From a history standpoint, that is a very favorable schedule.
Fisher is dominant against the NFC East, never losing to the Giants or Eagles, and usually beating the Redskins. Dallas has been tough, though.
Pittsburgh has only won once in Tennessee.
We probably won't win at Indy or San Diego, but the Titans should be competitive against everyone else.

I can only find 7 or 8 wins in that schedule, unless we make alot of moves on defense

...NFC East will be scary as always... Bert back in Nashville should be interesting, assuming he's healthy.

Thankful we get most of the 'tough' games on paper at home. Ugh. SD, NYG, DAL and MIA all on the road. Man we need to fix the D in the next few months.

Hopefully we open at home next year and hopefully NOT against the defending Super Bowl champions. The key for me is no three game road trips, those are always a killer. What week the bye comes is also a major factor.
Seeing the teams is one thing, how the schedule is actually layed out is another. IMO

I am leaning towards it. I have attended an away game the past 2 seasons and I have always wanted to go to KC.

Overall my win-loss record for road games STINKS. In 30 years I think I'm
3-17.... Including 0-2 this year. :sad
Home games Houston/Memphis/Nashville I'm like 16-2. :D

The Titans are undefeated at games I go to (1-0 :lolhit) so I think we just need to figure out a way to get me to every game and then the Titans will go undefeated.
I think I'll go win that same lottery Yvette plans on winning...

I am 7-0 so far for games attended this year and last..I haven't seen them lose yet. I'm not deploying next season so hopefully I can make all the games...so we're 8-0 already. :)
