Clearly has issues tackling. We should trust Fish more sometimes.

Harper hasn't exactly been a tackling machine the last few weeks. I'd call them both suspect at this point.

Hood came on better in the second half. I think he played well considering he was inactive while an injured Harper was playing.

Hood has his problems but not on the Harper scale.

Hood's first game in 6 weeks...could've been worse.

um Rod Hood played ok but he got thrown on just like Harper and is not as good in run support. Sorry but Harper when he's not injured is just better if we go by this game. Too small a sample size really to make a good comparison but no way you can say Hood is clearly better IMO.

We have been in CB hell for 7 years. Why can't we go get some freaking corners. I begged and begged this offseason. We WILL have injuries at cornerback every year because they "tackle so well". Depth please

Even if I chose to ignore his tackling issues I'd still come to the conclusion that at best he should be a 3rd string CB in this league. He looked REALLY slow out there today and I watched him quite a bit once I realized he was playing.

C'mon now. The man has been out of real-gametime reps for 6 weeks. You can't possibly expect him to play at the level he played at when he first started for us.He is still a better corner than Harper.

Play like a guy that got a few interceptions, which look nice on paper, but show nothing about how someone actually performs?

IMO if we go after a corner we should see if we can find a solid db who has been in the league for 4 to 5 years in FA to pair with Finnegan who can help bring Hood and a rookie db (if we get one).We really need a guy that can return punts and kicks. Our yards in the special team area are horrific!

I don't know if a great return man would really help our special teams much this year. From what I saw today there were a lot of gaping holes in our special teams and only part of that had to do with the actual return men.
As for our CB situation. I doubt we'll draft anyone seeing as how we already have 2 young CB's on our roster and Fisher seems to like them. Hood might stick around but he'll most likely have plenty of competition from other veteran CB's.

Exaclty what i've been saying, well I think we just won't spend a high round pick on a CB. Mouton/ McCourty are still young, and I always use william hayes from his 1st year to this year as an example, he went from barely playing to becoming the full time starting and playing very well, hopefully the same happens with one of those 2
