In our collective obsession with each year's draft, we rarely if ever devote much time to the scrutiny of past drafts.
It isn't enough to reevaluate a draft one year later. Three years are needed to fully assess whether a draft pick is a bust or not.
So let's rewind to 2006 and look at the careers of the men taken in Round 1. Here's the only ground rule: The higher the player was picked, the greater the expectations.

Vince has been a good player and still could be a good player for us.....B-
LenDale is a great player for us.....A-
Calvin Lowry didnt work out so well....D
Stephen Tulloch was a good find......A
Terna Nande hasnt even broken into the system.....F
Jesse Mahelona hasnt either....F
Jonathan Orr hasnt either....F
Cortland Finnegan has turned into a pro-bowler....A++
Spencer Toone: havent heard of him since draft day.....F
Quinton Ganther got himself a roster spot, servicable 3rd string special teams guy....C+

Vince started and lost his job for multiple seasons now.....C-
LenDale is a role player for us who really does what a lot of guys could.....B-
Calvin Lowry didnt work out so well....D AGREED

Me, I'm going along with giving LenDale a B+, but I fully expect expect that he'll be A- by the end of this this season after he's lost those extra pounds. The rest of Rolltits4TOMB's gradinglooks great to me.:thumbsup

Interesting link. I'd agree with their analysis on Young, I disagree with Leinart and Addai though. Leinart might do something still. When Kurt Warner's your competition, it can't be easy to get your starting job back. Addai has been good, but wasn't too great last season. He was injured, I think, but didn't really excel all season.
