Georgia and South Carolina not doing Vandy any favors? Georgia destroys UT right before Vandy plays there. Down side, UT is going to be pissed! Up side, UT may not be as good as people thought. South Carolina upsets #1 ranked Ky, next game for the Wildcats is Saturday at home against Vandy. Down side, see above. Up side, Vandy knows they can beat them because they beat South Carolina on the road. Game at UT is tonight at 6 central on espn U and 104.5 the Zone. GO VANDY!

Mods, I just noticed I may have put this in the wrong forum. Feel free to move it.

I had a feeling last week when Texas went down it was just a matter of time before we fell also. Oh well, it happens. Just need to pick up the pieces and move on to Vandy.

I am excited, but nervous, about tonight's game. I just have seen Vandy get killed too many times at UT to feel comfortable. I know Vandy can beat UT...I just don't know if they can get off to a good start for once.

Well Sec309, I'm going to Rupp.
0-for-11 on the road.
Is this the year?

If Vandy can beat UT on the road, then anything is possible. ;)
I do think that Vandy is likely the only SEC team that can win there. They need the defensive effort from last night, but the offense from everyone but Beal needs to improve.

I know KY is coming off a loss, but I think they can win in Knoxville. The game at Vandy scares me more then at Tennessee.

I meant winning at Rupp, not Knoxville. I believe Kentucky can certainly win at UT (though that may be it).
I am looking foward to Calipari coming to Nashville. I don't think he has played at Memorial Gym before, and it is usually a tough experience the first time a coach playes there. Gillipse rarely could handle it.

Kentucky is still a darn good team. I think Vandy had a somewhat respectable 13 point loss today. They fell behind early, but then traded baskets pretty much the rest of the game.
Kentucky really needed this a lot more than Vandy did. I was worried it would be a blowout after UK took a 19 point lead, but Vandy hung in there. I imagine when the polls come out Monday, UK will be #2 or #3, and Vandy will #17 or #18.

Vandy struggled after Ogilvy got 2 fouls early and had to sit for much of the 1st half. By the time he got back in the game, UK already had the cushion they needed. IMO Cousins should have been T'd up for throwing that elbow.
I hope the re-match at Memorial Gym produces a different result.

Congrats to UK on the win.
I hope no one in Kentucky is proud of that young man disrespecting your uniform. He is a disgrace to college basketball, and he's using UK and Coach Cal to get an NBA contract, where his antics will fit in well.
Of course, maybe Coach Cal is using him. After all, he decided not to renew the scholarships of good student athletes so he could bring guys like that in.
Pathetic.
