I have been trying a few things....

I made a 15 bean soup with 2 cut-up ham hocks in it and it was great. It will be on the list of new items for next year.

Yummy !!!!

Anyone else have a tailgate item they would like to share?

I've made the 15 bean soup for years. If you like spice, try the cajun.

I was just browsing the isle when I picked up a pack of dried beans and the recipe was on the back. I didnt notice that they had different kinds.

I have never heard of it until then.

Ms_Zonian and I tried it as prescribed this past weekend; it really looks better than it is.

We plan to experiment with the recipe; she thinks we should exchange beef for the pork sausage, add onions and peppers and load up on cheese.

I can't argue with her logic, however, I feel the need for some jalapeños...:fight

Sautéed mushrooms and onions, cheese and basically meatloaf wrapped with bacon.
Turned out better but still a hell of a lot of trouble.
