There should be a rule regulating recruiting before the end of a high school players career. 13 is way too young, let the kid be a kid. If he changes his mind, and whats to do something else, let him. He's a kid for Christs sake.

Honestly I would like to see that kid be able to take a hit before anything else. He's a friggen twig.

didn't see that picture.
I just think its crazy to have a 13 year old even think about college football already. Much less verbaly commit to a college. Not a fan of this at all.

Oh, and I agree with that too :P

I dont blame the family at all.. by verbally committing, they could hold USC to a scholarship that was offered for the commitment.
I think its way too early as well. This could set a precedent one way or the other. If the kid turns out to be great, we will see more of this. If the more likely scenario (that he ends up being ok to good) occurs, we will hear less about this kind of thing from the top programs in the country.

I think it's a mistake from the parent's perspective. This commitment is putting a great deal of pressure on a 13 year old to perform. They should have refused USC and told them to come back in 5 years.

I saw footage of the kid playing MBA's (a local team here) 8th grade team and he was terrible in that game. Threw like 4 INT's and missed on a bunch of passes. He played like a 13 year old quarterback! <sarcasm>.
On the bright side, with Kiffin gone at least UT is spared the embarrassment of such silliness. :thumbsup

there should be a law against this, i am so sorry! i don't care how good some of these young kids are, but 13 is way to young! he will get killed out there, snapped in half, and his body parts will be all over the feild! i know that sounds harsh, but my god, he hasn't even played at the high school level yet one, two, he really hasn't hit puberity yet, and you really wanna throw him out there to guys that out way him be over 100 pounds?!!

He wont be playing for 5 more years...he just committed early, like what juniors and sophomores do in high school. It doesnt mean he is playing next season, just that he signed for 5 years from now

Just read where USC got a verbal commitment from drew bree's baby boy for 2028. In a statement the Lil toddler stated: "ga ga goo goo"
strangely enough, lane kiffin gave the same statement.
