View Full Version : Tiger's apology

Am still laughing. Could see the Stanford eductaion at work there while he tried to convince the world he was sincere.

I'm sorry, but IMO he could have cared less and this was PR and PR only - he just got sick of the media swarming him and his family

I just wonder how much and what goes on at this "therapy" he's just having to go to.

What in the hell does he have to be sorry for us for? It is his family who he needs to give answers to. They are the victims here not his fans.

Im sorta mixed about Tiger. While what he did was horrible and i think he did owe it to at least his fans to release an apology, i don't think he needs to sit and have some Q&A with the press because he doesn't need to answer to anyone. However that statement was horrible, while it may had been sincere, it did not seem that way, it's as if he didn't even write it because of the tone of his voice like he didn't know what was coming up. Then he jumped into all this Buddhism stuff and i turned it off. If your gonna make a statement next time don't feed us crap like that.

I agree, like i said he doens't owe anyone but his family, but when you have a fan base as large as his, you gotta do something to let the people who have been following you with support know that your sorry for the way you acted.

They probably tie him to a chair and have girls dance naked around him then shock his nads every time he gets a erection. It is all BS they just make these things up because we are all dumb.

Well, I thought this was a bad idea to begin with. I don't feel he owes the media or anyone else (besides his family) any explanations or salacious details. And of course the media right now is self righteously pissed that it didn't get it's fair share of blood. Sad really.

I do think he was sincere or at least as sincere as he can be. His demeanor and delivery in public has always been reserved and somewhat mechanical. I agree this was PR but is that really a surprise? He's a public figure so of course PR is important to him. But I think this presser was him speaking to the public much more so than to the media and was an effort to try and win back over public perception.

Regardless he was in a no win situation. There was hardly going to be any gray area in people's perception of this IMO. Some will like it and some won't.

I am sorry everyone of his fans would love to trade places with him or his partners at anytime this was happening. Hell half of them are doing the something maybe worse as we speak. Do you expect them to say sorry to Tiger?

Lets jump into the selfish time at which he chose to hold the conference. While your trying to apologize for being selfish, you do another selfish act by holding the conference the nation was waiting for, during a golf tournament. That is why it will be so hard for him to come back, he's destroying his respect on the course.

It's not really his fans that he was apologizing to. For the most part his fans will stick with him. The people he was apologizing to are his sponsors customers that were offended by this. When a majority of your income is based off of the public's perception of you then you do have to answer to that public. Like it or not there are a lot of (stupid?) people in this world that will stop buying a product because they employ someone that doesn't fit their moral standards.

Didn't he already pay good money to have strippers and porn stars do stuff like that to him? That's what got him in trouble to begin with.

Yes, This time it is like a shock collar on a dog before he didn't think it was wrong now he does. Tiger will think twice about touching girls that want to have sex with him. You know since the wedding ring didn't work :lol

My answer won't be anywhere near as funny as OOF's lol

It's the same principle as 12 step addiction recovery programs, followed up with intensive behavior modification, coping skills.

Athletes golf because it is something else they can be competitive at. Some may joke around from time to time but most take it completely serious and are far from relaxed while playing. That's at least my experience when golfing with other current or former athletes (pro or amateurs).

Golf may be competitive. But so is pool. I still look at golf as a hobby and not a sport. So when Tiger is called a great athlete, i laugh. He's a great golfer.

Tiger could probably play professional football easily. He is a great athlete. Not all golfers fit that category, but some do.

Golf is definitely a sport, but I also consider bowling and race car driving sports as well. There are mental, physical, and skill challenges to all three.

I have not seen tiger do any sort of physical activity where i could agree with him being able to play football. But perhaps you have so i will not argue there. However like golf, i don't consider bowling a sport either. Yes there are mental aspects where you must prepare but you must mentally prepare for something such as chess even harder and that definitely takes alot of skill. And no one will ever call that a sport. Maybe a hobby is not the right word for golf. It should be in the same category as something like hunting. Where you don't have to physically train and prepare for it. But you do have to mentally train and prep yourself. So you just don't look like an idiot out there. Race car driving is a motor sport. And yea it definitely is a sport. Nascar, motocross, etc. are all in the same category. It's a bit harder for me to explain why, but since you already agree that it is a sport. I won't bother explaining.

TitansJonne

So i just looked up the definition of sport. A sport is commonly defined as an organized, competitive, and skillful physical activity requiring commitment and fair play. So i guess for golf. It comes down to do you think of golf as a physical activity? I myself don't but it is definitely a matter of opinion.

It is definitely a physical activity. Walking 72 holes and swinging a club 60-80 times a day is pretty physical. I would consider just as physical as baseball, if not more so.

What? Are you saying anybody can walk out of the city shoot a deer with one shot . Then gut it and drag it out of the woods. You don't have to prepare or be physical fit? My fat ass if you don't. If not I am doing something wrong and need you to show me how to do it in your dream world. Better yet write a book and make millions off it.

She has self-respect. She just can't forgive someone for cheating on her with 14 different women. You greatly insult her integrity with no proof of her intentions. I doubt that she is thinking purely in a financial way.
