I got a feeling that this guy may turn out to be a huge signing for us. He is a TEAM guy who will work hard. And seems like he will be a good leader for our D, should Bulluck not come back. Based off this interview he seems to have a great mindset and a classy man, nice pick up Titans.:thumbsup

So does this make anyone else think that this just gives one more reason for the FO not to resign a 30+ year old LB that just came off of a major injury? I know we only have a beat up and aging Thornton under contract for another year and Tully tendered for one year (hopefully they will get him a new contract by next FA) and a second year kid in Mcrath.
So if they keep Tully and have Witherspoon for 3 more years and have a young guy in McRath then all we need is depth at the LB position.
As much as I would love to have Keith back to finish his career I am no longer thinking it is gonna happen.

Keith was a consistent force on our Defense, as well as a leader. But him knowing that, he expected to be paid big. And he knew the titans weren't gonna pay him. But he may be finding out that no one is gonna pay him that big money in the condition he's in. My guess, he will test the market, not get much interest and we re-sign him alot cheaper than he thought he would get. Then witherspoon battles thornton for the start. Tully is locked in, and if keith returns he will be locked in as starter but will be rotated alot, which is fine because mcgrath is a stud.
I really didn't know much about Witherspoon, he made a really good first impression on me in that vid. I really like his attitude a lot, reminds me of Thornton.

His playing style is nice. Older McGrath, Younger Thornton.

He has very solid range and coverage abilities. He's also very good at reading and reacting, but apparently from what i've read he has trouble shedding blocks, but he'll be playing on the outside and hopefully that won't be a big problem with our system.

We will most likely have him outside to use his quickness, so shedding blocks shouldn't be a problem.

i tell you what, i love the vibe that i get listening to him in that interview! seems like a very classy guy, goal oriented , most importantly, a team oriented guy and we need that on d! he is very quick and explosive, especially on that outside, that will keep alot of offenses honest with mgrath, tully and thorton. i am liking this! we just need a shutdown corner to go with griff and finny.
