So when the single game tickets go on sale in July... What are the chances we can get the tickets before stubhub and all of those websites buy them all? I've never tried buying as soon as they were released but we are definitely going to try this year to save a little bit of money. Any info/advice would be helpful. :thumbsup

Decent if you have fast internet, but they tend to go pretty fast.

Make sure you have your account with Ticketmaster set up in advance and ready to go at 9:55am. Start reloading the web page like you're OCD at about 9:58. Know which games you want and grab the seats they give you. If you fail altogether within the first 10 minutes or so, don't give up. Check back periodically and in about an hour.

It should be either July 10 or 24. Your chances depend on how many tickets, how many games and which games your tying for. Here is what has always worked for me.

1. Make sure you already have an account set up on Ticketmaster with your billing info. That way, once you find tickets, you don't have to waste time filling out the billing info. You can just click purchase and go on to the next game you're trying to get.

2. Log onto ticketmaster by at least 9:50 am. Then around 9:55 start hitting refresh every so often. Around 9:58, refresh every 5 seconds or so until you're in.

3. know the game you want before hand and have some backup games in mind in case you can't get the ones you want.

4. If you need more than 2 tickets per game, your best bet is Texans or Jags.

5.Don't even waste time trying for the Colts game. Won't happen

6. After you purchase your tickets, try the site again about 2-3 hrs later. I always seem to get 2 sets of tickets at 10am before no more tickets are available. But then I come back later and tickets have opened up and I'm able to get at least 2 more games.

Last year, only the Colts game sold out. Every other game had plenty of tickets in the upper and lower bowls till those games were played.

So if you hear "the Titans sold out", don't believe it! You may have to try back later, but the tickets will be there.

Well...my plan for this season is to go to "Krogers" down here in Cookeville and buy 'em there...
I probably have to wait in line...but hey....it's for my TITANS.....!!!

Right on.
I learned the hard way- they enforce the per-customer limit in a rather sneaky way, IMO.
Your transaction does not error out. It is confirmed, you get the email; your credit card is charged... Until they go back and cancel on you later. They go by credit card account; not just TicketMonster account.
I was logged in, and had a friend also logged in, using his TM account, but using my credit card.

So all those tickets (beyond the preset limit,) that people like me THOUGHT we had bought... were re-released and re-sold ~ a few hours, up to a few days later.
Heads up to everyone (like me,) trying to circumvent the system - use different credit cards! With multiple billing addresses, if possible... :D

A lot of the Krogers locations have events that morning around 11am where they give away sets of tickets. Usually a couple of preseason games and texans and jags. But they usually do give away 1 pair of Colts tickets.

Our tradition is to buy as many on ticketmaster then head to Krogers to try to win some. Haven't won yet but it is a lot of fun.

I know they have a 4 ticket/person with a 2 game limit, but I always thought that meant per transaction. I usually get 3 tix for 1 game and 2 for another at 10am. Then I come back aroound 1pm and buy 2 tix for 2 more games once tickes have opened up again. Then last year I checked again around 6pm and bought tix for a 5th game. All transactions used the same credit card and all were delivered no problem.

Yeah, Count. I should have specified- that incident was actually two years ago.
Last year I bought 4 games, with the same card - fully expecting to get that cancellation later, but it never happened.
I actually figured it was because I was only buying a single ticket. Thought maybe they had relaxed the rules so that they could sell all those singles.
Thanks for the clarification!

so you can only buy 4/game? We were looking to get atleast 8 for the @Dallas game and 6 for the @Houston game.

You have to buy those from Dallas and Houston. We are only talking about Titans home games.

Well, I figured that. I just figured it was the same around the league as far as ticket sales go. Thanks though.

Some teams don't offer single game tickets at all. Some just offer packages of games. It just depends on the popularity. Each team basically sets their own ticket policy.

Funny you're mentioning "winning" stuff at Krogers....

I remember 4 years ago, I won two beautiful TITANS-beer-mugs in the "Know-Your-TITANS"-competition (by B-Rock Cookeville), while I was waiting to get my tickets...hehe....They radio guys didn't belive me I was from Switzerland and knew so much about the TITANS....

I wasn't lucky winning those free tickets...but hey...I stil felt like a winner.....!!!
