(If the powers that be wants to just combine the subjects of the teams moving, that's fine with me).

Another shoe has dropped and it looks like the Big 12 is dead and the Pac 16 is alive.

I'm in total shock about the future of the big 12. I hope Texas/OU goes to the SEC. I'm freaking out, these are strange days.

Oklahoma and Virginia Tech have both came out saying the SEC has contacted them about the idea of joining. Sooners responce was they will go where Texas goes, so Pac 10 seems to be the way their heading.

The madness that has transpired so far and future rumors are:

Nebraska to the Big 10

Colorado, Texas, Texas Tech, OK, OK St to the PAC 10

Boise State to the Mountain West

Texas A&M is deciding between the PAC 10 and the SEC. If they choose the SEC then Utah will most likely leave the Mountain West and go to the PAC 10. If Texas A&M chooses the PAC 10 then Utah stays.

This leaves Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor and Iowa State without a home. The Mountain West will probably grab a number of these schools to get them up to a 14 team league in hopes that that will get them an automatic BCS bid.

Edit: Apparently I had even left a school out. Missouri. They are a big question mark right now. They were first rumored to be going to the Big 10 but it looks like they are holding out to see what they can get out of ND and maybe a couple Big East schools.

I still want Texas and OU in the SEC. That would be some damn good football. Wouldn't be fair to all the super chitty conferences, but screw'em. I want killer football. SEC is the most respected, and it has already sucked having Texas play crappy teams in the Big 12. I want to vomit thinking about Texas playing pac 10 teams. I'd much rather Texas go toe to toe with the likes of Bama, than Washington State.

So with Boise in the MW, are they actually going to get more competition?

Here is a good article on how the PAC 16 schedule might work to limit extra travel:
