PBV..is the riegning Champ. And no, I am not forgeting that this year he will receive (will have me post) the League's Logo, sporting his team's logo in it. (As 309 did on last season).

Time to see if the same players are joining, and to decide when we are having our Live Draft. (Last week of August comes always handy to know how the rosters of the NFL teams have been formed, to not choose injured players that could be during their paricipation in the pre-season.)

It's great to have not only team owners that could take care of their team, week after week. But in my book, is also great to see them posting here, regulary. 2 years ago I had to manage 3 teams, since two were left "orphaned"...and that's not fun. I hated that.

Also...I found out that the League can be played by Divisions. I went ahead and made it in 3 (South, Central and North Divisions)...we can keep it that way or I can return it to the good ole "1 to 12".

It lets people actually enjoy the games on Sundays instead of having to watch everything while being ready to jump up and grab a player while the games are going on. I know that more often than not I am nowhere near my computer while games are going on and I'm someone who spends a lot of time at home. It's even harder (worse?) for those that have families and other obligations they have to take care of on the weekends.

You always find ways to keep your team in a strong position.

I try to give strength to my team with logic...but it's not working.

For example...my Defenses are giving me 6 pts. at the most and have 24 pts. total ...I go to take a look at the FA and see a Defense that has better numbers overall..I pick them, thinking that they will give me decent 10 pts.

So...this week my Defense gets -3...while thye other, which is at the bench, gets 5 pts. Not encouraging at all in both ways.

But my logic is drowning as fast as a stone thrown to a river.....

Some leagues have one based on the "home team" winning all ties. I don't like this method due to the luck involved. I prefer using fractional points, where ties are a whole lot harder to make happen.

On the website where I use to play, they had a tie-breaker player (back-up QB, RB, WR etc...) that every team could select, and if the game was tied, that player would break it; after that it would fall to some other formula.

This will be Zach's 2nd tied game.

I didn't found the fractional scoring mode...but there are things that can receive points from.

Like:

Pass Completions, Sacks, Incomplete Passes (these both receive negative points, since it goes against the QB stat)

WRs: Can receive points per catch (1 per catch will be enough)

Fumbles could recieve negative points.

Kickers:

Field Goals Missed 0-19 Yards, Field Goals Missed 20-29 Yards, Field Goals Missed 30-39 Yards, Field Goals Missed 40-49 Yards and Field Goals Missed 50+ Yards

and...Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns can also recieve points.

All of those could become tie-breakers. We just need to decide how many of them all owners decide to include and will have effect since week 6.

This week (Since Minnesota and the NYJ are about to play) rules will STAY IN THE SAME WAY. And changes can be done for week 6.

I will send a PM to all owners so we can get the general conscensus about this matter.

I feel your pain. This League has been tough since year one. I haven't got a winning season already, and I am starting to go crazy with some spots that are killing my team. Go figure...I am starting the Oakland Defense for week six, against the 49's...

Just please, do not quit. There are still interesting players that could help your team from the FA list.

Changing the scoring system so that there are more factors involved in the total scoring doesn't eliminate the possibility that a tie will happen, but it would alter the value of all the players in the league. A change like that during the middle of the season would be wrong.

I've been involved in both ties this season and I have no problem with it. Two ties may not be as good as two wins but it's much better than two losses.

Basically what I am saying is leave things as they are. Changes to a scoring system should be left to the offseason.

I prefer fractional points myself. Just from the standpoint of if a guy gets 99 yards you get 9.9 points instead of just 9, which can make a big difference when several people do that and they add up. But thats just my opinion.

I logged in a good 20 times this week to look at my roster and couldn't decide if I wanted to start Brady or Cassell this week. I had Cassell in last week so he was still in and he stayed in until the last time I logged in. I just couldn't bring myself to start him over Brady even knowing who each was playing.

My WR's are absolutely killing me, & I thought they'd be a team strength. Austin, Marshall, & Steve Smith have mostly been huge busts. It goes to show what looks like heaven in August can look like hell come November, & vice versa.

I picked up Houston's TE (Dreessen) to possibly use this week. I keep going back and forth between starting him or Tony Gonzalez. Gonzalez really hasn't done much for me this year but he's playing the Packers and they've let TE's catch a number of 20+ yard passes this year. Dreessen had a good game last week against the Jets so Schaub might have a good bit of confidence in him right now. That and he is playing us and we all know how well the Titans are at covering TE's.

I'll probably switch back and forth 5 or 6 times between now and Sunday.

Somehow the players I got, started to bring points in, and to be honest I never expected that. My team was averaging 60 pts. per game, which for this League is not good enough, by any means.

Your players are the type who are very reliable week after week, and this week they weren't. And that's something that is really hard to guess week in and week out. Your team is one of the strongest in the League, and I find very difficult that the players that you started this week will underachieve so strongly again.

My draft was terrible, again. The fun (and I mean it) to find reliable players at F.A. increases the challenge, but I take it with respect and with the best reason to make my team a better one.

At least I found a way to have more Ws than Ls, in the interdivisional games.
