Channel 2's Christine Maddela just reported via Twitter that Kenny Britt received a citation last night for driving on a revoked license and was out past team curfew.

Vince needs to have a long long chat with Kenny since it seems the coaching staff haven't quite gotten through to him.

Former Rutgers star Kenny Britt rolls into Bayonne in his new Dodge Challenger, the first fruit of his expected deal with pro football’s Tennessee Titans.

At least no drugs or guns were found in his car too.

meh, all of this stuff Britt is getting himself into is the same stuff me or some of my friends did a couple of years ago, heck even now.

hate to play the "he's young" card...but seriously, it can't be more obvious that is all it is.

being young + money = immaturity

Britt just doesn't get it. He's young but he seems completely irresponsible. Surely someone could sit this kid down and explain to him the concept of valid driver's licenses.

That car seems fairly modest for a first rounder.

In a related item, Albert has been driving his Rolls to fail/not take his fitness tests. :)

more info (http://www.tennessean.com/article/20100806/SPORTS01/8060327/Britt-has-license-issue-again)

Metro police pulled over the Titans wide receiver Wednesday night because his window tinting was too dark. That led to a misdemeanor citation for driving on a revoked license.
After practice Thursday, Britt called the incident "silly" and embarrassing and said with a smile he would be "stripping those tints off today and looking like a fish bowl again."

Because of the 45 minutes he spent with police, Britt was late for his 11:30 p.m. curfew. He said he was en route to the team hotel after an evening practice at Baptist Sports Park when he was pulled over.
Said Fisher: "I don't like getting those phone calls at 12:30 in the morning. Basically Kenny got caught up in things that happen with young adults. He had some issues. He thought one thing was taken care of and it was not. He'll get it resolved."

Issues like these are life-smart problems, not academic-smart problems.

yeah i was just kidding. But i recently read an article about obesity in the NFL and the three players they pin pointed were Haynesworth, Terrence Cody, and Andre Smith...sure they are all huge but 3 SEC players? Vince Wilfork isnt a tiny man....of course their are way more than that but i just found it unprofessional that the guy found 2 Alabama players and a Tennessee player in his article

Unless the laws have changed, he doesn't have to strip off the tint, the back windows can be as dark as he wants, but the front two have to meet a certain limit; I believe it's 35%.

Anyway, I guess it depends on the car and county.

I had a Geo Metro years ago with limo tint all around and was never pulled over for it.

Maybe they felt anyone driving a Geo Metro deserved to not have to be seen in it. :lol

Yep, it was a 1992, Geo Metro 4 door hatch. Like this one, only red.

It had a 3 cylinder engine and I could put $2 in gas and drive all day.

And I still got the girls. :lol

This is a really silly incident, and at least the police were the reason he was late and not 2 seperate problems. But damn, keep your name out of the news for a couple of weeks please.

is Britt going to play as good as he likes to be breakin' laws?

Given Britt's off-season woes regarding his weight and conditioning, perhaps he should concentrate more on walking than driving anyway.

Admittedly, this is major, major, major pot calling the kettle black here, but of course, I don't play pro football for a living.

Aren't 'young' and 'irresponsible' synonymous terms? And didn't he say he had a TN license, just not on him at the time? He needs to practice thinking, period. But like someone said, he didn't have drugs on him and he had not been at a strip joint. I think that counts for a lot, considering how young rich people act these days.
