He will always be an Oiler first in my books. RIP and thank you for helping this franchise become what they are now. With George's help this franchise became champions the first two years of its birth.

R.I.P. He is the Original Iron Man. Anyone that can play 26 years of professional football is superhuman.

When I first started watching pro football George Blanda was the field goal kicker for the Oakland Raiders. I can still remember watching the 4:00pm games with my dad, back then it was often the Oakland Raiders or the L.A. Rams playing just before the start of the "Wonderful world of Disney" My dad would say, "You know Blanda was a great quarterback years ago". I remember it like it was yesterday!

RIP George! RIP Dad!

I can't remember how many times I said we should sign Blanda during a bad stretch.

RIP George
