We probably have a tougher stretch of games - Ga State down the stretch than Boise has seen in their school history. Lsu, MSU, Auburn...possibly Carolina again. If ANYONE argues that Boise should be in over bama they are insane. I have respect for Oregon because we get to SEE what they can do against talented football teams like USC. But Boise you got to do better than beating a team (luckily) that lost to James Madison.

Bama lost to South Carolina. Boise has beaten everyone willing to play them. I would take Boise, TCU, or Utah over Alabama right now.

But hopefully Auburn crushes Alabama and ends the talk that way as well. I am sick of undefeated teams not getting a chance at the championship.

Yawn.... there's going to be an undefeated team get shut out of the championship this year, so that's argument will likely carry on this year.

As long as they aren't shut out by a one-loss team, I am fine with it.

TCU or Utah will be a 1 loss team this week. Oregon nor Auburn has a cake walk, Well maybe Auburn has a tad easier road. The game vs Bama may screw everything up.

I am sick of undefeated teams not getting a chance at the championship.

Why?

Is Boise, TCU or Utah really better than Alabama, LSU, OSU, Nebraska, or OU?

For me, it's about the quality of the game, not the overall record.

I'd rather see a one loss Bama take on an undefeated Oregon if it means a better game.

I don't want to see a NC game where a TCU/Utah or even BSU gets blown out.

That's why we need a playoff.

Prove to me that Bama vs Oregon will be a better game.

You can't. It's impossible to do and sadly a playoff wont guarantee a better championship game either.

I don't know that Bama/Oregon would be better; I said "if it means better".

BSU has played a couple of decent teams, but they haven't traveled the road Bama or LSU have. SOS is taken into consideration for a reason.

Maybe a playoff wouldn't guarantee a better game, but it would shut a lot of people up clamoring and complaining when an undefeated like BSU, TCU or Utah gets left out of the picture.

When I watch the NC, I want an entertaining game.

If TCU Vs Utah is better than Oregon Vs Auburn, so be it, but I have a hard time imagining that.

However, it doesn't get much better than that BSU/OU game a few years back.

My point is this: I want to see the two best teams play, not the two teams with the best win/loss record.

SO far, I have seen nothing to prove that they aren't. Alabama lost to a South Carolina team that is nowhere near as good as those three teams. LSU should have lost to the worst UT team in decades.

When I look at a schedule like TCU, and see them beating teams including my alma mater (Tennessee Tech), Baylor, Southern Methodist, Colorado State, Wyoming, Brigham Young and UNLV by a combined 337-57, that’s all well and good, but I can't say it impresses me very much; Look at who they're playing.

I’m not trying to bash TCU.

I’m just not going to demand they get into the NC because they haven’t lost a game.

SOS has to be taken into consideration.

I just get tired of hearing all the time that "Alabama/Oregon/Auburn/etc... would kill Boise St." Really? Have you seen Bama and Boise St. play? Do You know what would happen? The answer is no, and until it happens we will never know, and thats the truth.

EDIT: I am neither a Boise St. nor Bama fan (I bleed orange and two-tone blue), but I would like to see what happens if a team like Boise St. plays a Oregon/Auburn/Alabama in the Nat'l champ. I'm sure it would be entertaining

If the BCS Bowls hadn't screwed up so badly last year, I don't know if I would be so demanding of a Boise St/TCU/Utah in the championship game. The BCS Bowls refused to match up Boise State and TCU with regular BCS schools and made them play each other.

If a team keeps going undefeated year after year after year and still doesn't play for a national championship, then something is serious wrong with the system.

And that's my biggest problem too. It's not just one year that Boise has gone undefeated. It's been multiple concurrent years.

Pretty sure BSU and TCU have swapped bowl wins the past 2 years.

you have no idea who is willing to play them and who isnt. bama plays more ranked teams in its final 5 then boise in 4 years combined. boise should just be in the game every year since they never lose

review boise's recent matchups with arky an georgia. and bama went 14-0 last year. we have yet to be given a one loss title game. thats for lsu and florida.

Pretty sure BSU has beat Oregon the past 2 years.

and bama has beat arkansas twice, LSU, Florida twice, Auburn, Texas, Penn State, Virginia Tech (so did Boise), and depending on your opinion of tennessee beat them twice

but i understand everyone hates bama and wants to see fresh blood. i guess in the end it doesnt matter as long as we bring home the hardware again

good point there but Utah did bomb bama in the Sugar bowl. they got an opportunity to at least embarrass us. I was at the game FWIW and they were the best bama played all year

I don't know why you think everyone hates Bama. Heck, on this board I'd think quite the opposite.

My opinion on Boise State being held out of games I think they deserve to be in has nothing to do with Bama or any other school. It has to do with the fact that no matter what Boise does they are told they need to do more. The same goes for TCU, Utah, and anyone else not in the precious AQ conferences.

Well it's curtains. Boise has no idea what it's like going to play in death valley. But they aren't complaining they are still undefeated and we are toast. It was a fun ride, now we just play for spoiling the barn's season
