Remember they are coached by MacTonight.. I mean Norv Turner. He will find a way to lose in the playoffs like he always does.

Best team in the NFL? not even close. Not behind the the Pats, Jets, Eagles, Falcons, Ravens, Steelers.

Records aside right now....San Diego could beat all those teams. Not that they FOR sure would, but given a playoff atmosphere against any of them it would come down to the wire

I really wonder what you see in them, because generally they look better than this. 3 wins are against the AFC South, that's not saying much considering.

The Chargers do have the best overall offense, the best overall defense, the 2nd best scoring offense, and a top 3 QB. They also never almost never lose in November and December.

They may very well be the best team in the NFL right now.

In the grand scheme of things, if they don't win in January..... those stats don't mean anything.

The best team rarely wins the Super Bowl. The Colts and Titans have proven that several times the last 10 years.

There is no way in hell that SD gets through 2 road games in BAL/PIT then NE/NYJ. You think Norv can outcoach any of those teams in January? Have you not watched their playoff meltdowns when they had homefield? Hell I just realized how much Charger and Titan fans have in common!

Chargers seems to have no problem beating the Colts in the playoffs. They win a decent amount of playoff games.

Watch their choke job against the Jets again last last year, or their losses to the Pats. And I can easily argue those Charger teams were better talent-wise and healthier.

Is there any team in the NFL that hasn't choked in the playoffs the last 10 years? Home field advantage hasn't been very helpful.

I took this stance with SD last year. I won't make that mistake again choking has little to do with it. They got beat by a rookie QB last year and that same team is better than they are this year again.

Just keep this in mind - the Chargers have owned both the Titans and the Colts. On the flip side, the Pats and Jets have them figured out, and I am quite confident that Timlin or Harbaugh will outcoach Norv as well. This is the most flawed Charger team of the last several years, and they're just lucky their division continues to stink. Hell, the the AFC South and NFC West also stink, so for once there's some company in division-suckiness.

I'm just not gonna believe in them until I see them win a playoff game against a team not named Colts/Titans.

I think that San Diego isn't close to beat NE or NYJ. They defeated a team which looks like a hospital right now, and has a lot of rookies just trying to do as much.

I don't think that San Diego could defeat Atlanta, Green Bay or New Orleans, even Tampa Bay IF they go to the SB. (Which looks highly difficult to happen).

Every year I drink the Charger koolaid after listening to all the hype..... Fool me once shame on you... fool me like 4 times shame on me. They need to prove it.

As a head coach, I think Norv suffers from the same disease as Chuck Knox and Marty Schottenheimer.

I'd perfer the Chargers over the Colts or the Pats and especially the Steelers, but I agree with Parddy, they gotta prove it before I'll buy into them.

First loss ever by Rivers in December. Impressive win for Oakland.

OakTown is 4-0 in the division. The division really sucks. SD doesn't impress me.

I HATE the PATS.... but those suckers can play... toss in Pitt and Balt.
