What week next season does Haynesworth do his little act and and start sitting out plays.

He does this every week, sometime between mid third quarter and end of the game.
IMO he does it to catch his breath.

And which week does he leap over the line of scrimmage and catch the ball carrier by the foot behind the line? Which week does he draw a double team but still puts pressure on the QB?
Big Al wasn't perfect. He certainly did take some plays off, he had some injuries. And he certainly wasn't worth what the Redskins paid. But don't kid yourself - over the last 2 years, the man was a dominating beast on the defensive line, and he will be missed.

Where is the "Once every quarter" option?

its not letting me make more than one choice. That being said Haynesworth and Orakpo are going to make that defense look really good

There is no denying Big Al has dominated over the last two seasons. It's funny though because both seasons have essentially been contract years. I think the question is will he be just as dominant or will his work ethic suffer now that he doesn't have to worry about gettin paid

I think he gives them at least one good year, to prove he was worth it. Then it will all go downhill from there. With his injury history, he can't have too much longer left on those knees.
But I wish him the best of luck, maybe he'll prove all us doubters wrong.

I agree, I too wish him luck, but in reality it is the Skins that need it. :sad

I voted week 12 or 13 but it isn't a knock against the guy. He sees constant double-teams, chop blocks, etc. At some point his big body will wear down like it did with the Titans. That said, I have to agree with Titans and Turtles. The pros to having a dominant defensive tackle who can rush the passer, make plays behind the line, and beat double-teams far outweigh the cons of him taking a play off every now and then. I don't seem to remember this much of an attitude toward the guy when he was a Titan. Remember those MVP threads on the old board?
Week 3, Schwartz game plans against him, by the second quarter Al cries off.

I have nothing meaningful or constructive to add to this thread :) I left my venom on this subject at the TOMB.

Not against Big Al, against what he said. He will be the best he ever was for the skins, I say it was all about the money. Last two years were contract years, plain and simple, next season he will go down early and often just like he did 3 years ago.......... $$$$$$$ he got his big payday. If I am wrong I will personally send him my apologies, but I bet I don't have to. I.E. Eddie George, what was an extra million to him, he had to do to THE "COWBOYS" and ride the pine, now big Al is doing the same thing......... the storied "deadkins" give me a break. You think for a second if the Titans were the Cowgals we would of lost Eddie, Steve, ... etc., etc.
I said it then and I say it now........ don't let the door hit you in the arse........

yeah the last two contract years;;

washington may actually get one good season out of him since he gets the biggest part of the money after 13 months.
