Travis LaBoy-LB- Cardinals Apr. 28 - 7:04 pm et

Cardinals released OLB Travis LaBoy.
The Cards guaranteed LaBoy $7.5M on a five-year contract last offseason, so they're taking a salary cap hit. They do have room to work with and needed the cash for Adrian Wilson, Karlos Dansby, and possibly Anquan Boldin's extensions. LaBoy, 28, got off to a hot start with four sacks in the first four games last year, but ran into the same injury woes that dogged him as a Titan. He's a very skilled pass rusher, but can't stay off the shelf.

Remember the chit Reinfeldt took by fans and media for letting Henry, Pacman, Wade. Bennett, Robaire Smith, and Odom go? Remember all those people that said Reinfeldt was cheap because he didn't keep these guys? :lmao

I was just thinking about how many fans griped about us letting him go. I'm well pleased with our new GM.

No, the Titans don't need him, not even at the veteran minimum. Let's look forward, not back to those who didn't pan out during their tenure. :soapbox

He was pre-empting the "The Titans should bring him back for xxxxx dollars" posts.

No, I don't need another cat. :p:D

Like kytitansfan1 said, I was just pre-empting someone longing for Travis LaBoy like a long-lost love who you remember why she was gone 5 minutes after she's back. :doh

The only one I'd like to have kept was Robaire.

Update on LaBoy

Free agent OLB/DE Travis LaBoy is scheduled to undergo season-threatening ankle surgery later this month.
According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, "the ankle injury appears to be the major reason the Cardinals released LaBoy two weeks ago." He's not likely to sign on with a new team until he's almost finished rehabbing.

They took a $6 million cap hit to let him go. His ankle must be in pretty bad shape.
