View Full Version : Snedeker on verge of winning the Heritage

Brandt Snedeker had a great round today, going from 17th place to a tie for first. Luke Donald is the only person that can beat or tie him, but he just hit into the sand on 18. A par forces a playoff, but a bogey gives Brandt the win.

Snedeker has only won on tour once, and that was his rookie year in 2007. He has played great this year, with 4 top 10 finishes and 15th place in the Masters. This would be a huge win, if things fall his way.

It looks like it will be a playoff after Luke's great sand shot.

Both have makable birdies on 18 (first playoff hole). It should be a great finish either way.

Both make the birdie. Whew!

They both had scary par putts on 17, but both made it. On to the third playoff hole!

Lip out for the win. I feel for Donald. In High School I lost a tourney with a lip out on the last hole.

Brandt wins!!!!!

Luke had one last chance to tie on 18 by chipping just off the green. The ball bounced in the hole and bounced out. Whew!

Brandt earns a little over $1 million for the win and moves up to #7 in the Fedex Cup standings. He should also get serious consideration for the Ryder Cup team now.

I watched the last few holes and then the playoff and that was some very good golf! Both golfers deserved to win but I'm glad Nashville's Brandt Snedeker pulled it out!
