Had a survey asking if the Titans had a good draft?
no 61%
yes 49%
guess I was kind of surprised.

Lot of people wanted us to get a QB & WR.

I would have thought a huge majority would say yes?

I think the team had an above average draft. It wasn't the greatest draft class in the history of the NFL but it certianly helped the team. The team filled needs (WR and DT) the first day and added depth in the secondary and on the line the second day as well as picking up another receiver. Beyond Britt, the names may not be sexy but I believe this draft will serve the team well this year and beyond.

We addressed every need we had, and I think most of the real fans knew we weren't going after a QB.

Albeit the last need. From the 6th-on (when we likely would've looked for one) there wasn't a QB worth drafting. Next year's class is better anyway.

I thought it was a good draft but everyone has different ideas on who they want the Titans to pick. Many fans did and still do see QB as a need. A lot of people were surprised we didn't draft at least one more LB. There could be some Vandy fans voting who thought we should have taken DJ Moore. Not everyone is happy with the Marks pick because of his height. I thought we left the real fan debate back at the TOMB. :p

Read "real fans" as non-casual/diehard.

Lots of fans who meet the non-casual/diehard description who were discussing drafting a QB

My math says this poll sucks.

Maybe they were upset we didn't pick DJ? :unsure

I think the driving factor here may be name recognition. I watch a lot of college football and really have only ever heard of 2 of the picks and I am not really familiar with them, just heard of them.

If that's true, then these fans are going to hate every draft (except maybe 2006). ;)

Well I agree. I am not unhappy with the draft and especially the Titans philosophy of getting as many as they can in the draft. The statement I was making is that not just the Titans but overall this draft seemed devoid of the hype that usually surrounding the draft (beyond the top ten).

I agree with the players drafted. It is still too early to ask to draft another QB. 2010 or 2011 can be another story.
We added the deep needed at WR, TE, OL and DL.

I haven't campaigned for a QB since 2006, but there is a guy I really like that will be coming out either next draft or 11'.
Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead, so far he is semi under the radar playing for a mediocre SEC team while guys like McCoy and Bradford are stacking up stats in the spread/ defensively handicapped Big 10.
As alot of you know he has transferred out of Florida and Texas due to Tebow and McCoy locking down starting jobs. He has only started for one full season and he started off slow last season, but looked great the final half. He has all the measurables, size, cannon arm, athletic. I expect him to shoot up the draft board this coming season. Anyone else have thoughts on Mr. Snead?

Polls at this time are no better than my disappointment one year ago in the Chris Johnson, Jason Jones, etc. draft. What did I know?
Additionally, the poll reflects peoples exposure to a weeks worth of media reports, some rating the Titans draft C- maybe lower. I am not sure because I did not check on the grades most media dish out after the draft.

Mike Reinfeldt has had the say in the last 2 drafts. He hasn't gone after the "sexy" name pick, but he has hit on more than he has missed.
When he picked Michael Griffin, I was left going "Huh?" Anyway, Griffin is now on his way to becoming one of the top safeties in the game. Chris Johnson, again the pick left most of us shaking our heads. Now, most of us are screaming those same heads off when Johnson breaks into the clear.
Sure, he missed on Chris Henry, but EVERY GM in the league misses on picks.
