I was quite happy that Dallas was able to beat the Heat for the NBA Championship. The Heat have become one of those "teams you love to hate". There isn't a lot of public sympathy for LeBron's lack of championships.

I am really happy for Shawn Marion, who was a Clarksville High School graduate, just like me. :) I watched him play a few times back in those days, including in the state tourney (when they lost in the first game). He has had a great NBA career, but just didn't have a ring. I am happy for Jason Kidd and Dirk as well for their hard work in winning this.

I was happy to see karma come into play, and deny Lebron James a title. After the spectacle and humilation he put the city of Cleveland through, I am happy to see him denied. I was also happy to see Chris Bosh, a player that refused to help the Raptors and announce his intentions, therefore handcuff them, cry like a baby. Every once a while, its nice to see the team you least want to win get denied when they can taste the title.

I'm happy for Dirk, Marion, Terry, Barea, Chandler etc. All of these guys had been written off or been shredded in the media, and this is the ultimate way to shut them all down.

How was it karma that came into play??

He was a free agent and decided to go to another team that he thought would give him the best chance to win. He gave Cleveland 8 years to surround him with a team that was competitive, and they were unable to do so. People forget that Kobe just five years ago was demanding to be traded from the Lakers, and if not for the Pau Gasol trade, Kobe might be elsewhere. When players are traded and released it is just business, but when a player makes an attempt to better his situation he is selfish???

Now let's go to the decision. Yes, it was a little ridiculous of a presentation, but we all forget that because of that 2 million dollars resulting from advertising from the segment was given to the Boys and Girls Club of America. I guess that is some bad Karma. It is not like Lebron sat you down and forced you to watch the show either. Approximately 10 million people sat down and chose to watch where Lebron would go. I guess it was childish to not inform the Cavs where he was going, but in my opinion was it not more childish for his boss to take control of the cavs website and go on a immature rant bashing both Lebron's play and personality.

Lebron grew up without a father or father figure. He grew up being told by this people around him constantly that he was the best and greatest, never once was he told NO or given any guidance. His guidance are his goon friends who just milk off his money.

Now let's go on to the "Celebration" before the championship. Everyone bashed us for having a championship party before the season. It was not a championship party nor was it intended for people outside of south Florida. It was broadcasted by Sun Sports and FSN Florida. ESPN chose to pick up their broadcast, the Miami Heat did not contact ESPN for any of it. ESPN broadcasted Sun Sports broadcast. And now let me clear one more thing up, it was not a championship party, it was a celebration for the city of Miami for gathering 3 of the top FA's for that year.

Don't hate the Miami Heat, hate ESPN. They are the one's over analyzing every single word and breath of Lebron and shoving it all down your throats forcefully.

Please inform me why it is that you so dearly hate the Heat. And before anyone calls me a bandwaggon fan I'm from West Palm Beach and have been a die hard heat fan as long as I can remember.

1) Him leaving the Cavs is something between him and Cavs fans. None of the rest of America cares that he left. If Kobe had left LA then Laker fans (Not myself. I understood why he was upset with the team and it wasn't even close to Lebron's situation. Kobe had half the team that Lebron had in Cleveland.) would be pissed and the rest of America would have been laughing at the Lakers and their fans. People love to hate us so I know all too well what Miami fans only think they know.

2) The Decision was stupid (please don't bring up a $2 million dollar tax write off that everyone involved could easily afford 50 times over) and a complete smack in the face to Cavs fans. ALL of the scrutiny brought upon him was because of him deciding to drag everyone along (He knew 2 years ago he was going to Miami. He knew it, the league knows it, and the Cavs owner acted childish because he knew it too.). He didn't need to make a spectacle of it all. He did so because he wanted the attention and now he's got it all. He's got the attention of everyone via them all wishing he fails.

3) Really? So because he was a spoiled child his entire life we should just forget the stupid and childish behavior he shows?

4) Haha. Nobody in their right mind could truly believe this. EVERYONE knew that the entire NBA nation would see what they did during their celebration. It was their coming out party and they were letting everyone know that they were going to run the NBA for years to come. Sadly, for them and their fans, they didn't realize that Chris Bosh isn't a power forward in the way he plays and both Lebron and Wade need the ball in their hands to be at their best.

5) I have hated ESPN for many years. I've hated them well before the Heat were ever relevant.

6) Why do I hate the Heat? I don't and I don't think many do. I think most NBA fans actually really like Wade. Most NBA fans (outside of Toronto) are ambivalent towards Chris Bosh because they know he isn't nearly as good as the hype put upon him this past summer by ESPN and the NBA columnists. Most people don't like Lebron though. They don't like him for the same reasons most people don't like Kobe. People love to hate good players. People really love to hate good players that think they are better than the rest of the world. Kobe has learned to humble himself over his career and yet he is still hated because he is so good. I personally don't like Lebron mostly because of how Lebron fans love to say he is better than Kobe. In my mind they aren't even close to each other and unless Lebron grows as a player they will never be close.

6b) I hated Jordan when he played too. Mostly because I grew up a Lakers fan and Magic (and the rest of the Showtime Lakers) were the guys on top of the hill until Jordan came along (oh and there was that HIV thing with Magic). I also hated him because he was (still is) a complete asshole off of the court.

Oh, don't fight all the negativity. It comes with winning and being in the spotlight. The Lakers (unless someone cons the Magic into doing a Dwight Howard for Pau Gasol trade) have one year left before things go to hell for them. If a hard salary cap is implemented the Lakers will be over it with just the salaries of 4 guys. In 2013 Kobe and Pau will cost the team $50 mil alone.

The talk of the hard salary cap also comes with talk of giving teams that are above it 2 or 3 years to get below it. If the Lakers roster stays as it is then things will be ugly.

I would respect people that would come out and just flat out say I don't like LeBron. But I just hate how people try to rationalize their hatred with every little thing that he does.

And btw im so tired of all these lockout scenarios. The hard cap would be a joke as I think I read the other day that there would currently be 8 or so teams that would be in trouble and more or less have to blow up their roster (Boston, Heat, Lakers, Knicks, etc). I hope you guys find a way to get Howard in this offseason, I'm hoping the Heat will be able to get Nene in the open market.

I liked LeBron as a Cavalier. I was really disappointed he didn't lead the Cavs to a championship for Cleveland.

The whole Decision is what killed his popularity. If he had just gone on to Miami in a manner like Shaq did when he went from the Magic to the Lakers, I think none of this hate would have happened. Fans in Orlando felt betrayed by Shaq, but I don't remember the rest of the country making a big deal about it.

I do think the Heat will win a title soon, if not next season. And when that happens, LeBron's popularity will go back up, much like Shaq's popularity after finally winning a title with the Lakers.

1) Not competitive? They traded for anyone and signed everyone Lebron requested. They made one final and had the NBA's best record before he personally imploded against the Celtics 2 years ago. What the hell else was Dan Gilbert supposed to do other than magically turn the armpit of America into a gorgeous sun destination?

2) I have no problem with any player using free agency. As a Raptor fan I was resigned to Bosh leaving, thanks top Vince Carter. I thought Bosh handled it well and was never disrespectful. I just wish he had let Raptor Management know his intentions so they could have turned him into future assets. For that I resent him, but that's the only reason. Lebron turned himself into a diva and a spectacle and made a fawning network that loves attention like this his bitch. I actually agree with you - ESPN was a huge villain in this - but name another free agent that embarassed his former team and city to this extent. It was disgusting. Gilbert's rant was wrong too, but after watching his franchise value plummet tens of milliions in a nanosecond, I would be a tad pissed too and so would you.

3) My father left our family when I was 12 and I never saw him again. Funny, I never joined a gang or a posse. I never did anything other than learn to deal without him, and eventually go to university, marry and have kids. This excuse is garbage. You become your own man and choose your own destiny, especially a guy like him. Maybe he should have gone to college and learn something other than picking up a paycheck.

4) I liked the party - thought their coming out to the Godzilla theme was funny as hell and showed they were embracing their new roles of uber-villains.

5) I don't hate the Heat. I hate the fact that they set a dangerous precedent and will likely assist turning the league into a carbon copy of the BPL in England, where 4 ot 5 teams are the only ones with a chance at winning, while the rest fight it out to stay in the Premier League and keep their share of the TV contract pie.

They were competitive, but personally I feel as though they never had enough to actually win a championship. Had they gotten by the C's that year, they would have been destroyed in the finals by the Lakers. The truth is, no one wins championships alone, you need to have at least two stars and role players who know their role.

Personally, I just have problems with people who criticize others with every move they make. Not saying you guys, just saying in general the media. I think they are the scum of the Earth, people who have nothing better to do then to try to and bring someone down.

What did you guys think of his comments after the finals?
Many people are taking it as, I'm a billionaire, my life is better than yours, and you have to wake up and continue to do bills, be a normal person etc. I don't think he meant that at all, personally I was just think he was referring to the people I sorta addressed above, the people who just look for things to criticize. I think he was just saying that if your life is solely based upon trying to bring down another human being, then your life must be miserable and I feel sorry for you, but the fact of the matter is that when you wake up tomorrow, your life will still be miserable whether or not I succeed or fail.

The hard cap would be a joke at first (and I doubt they would force teams to blow up their rosters. They would have to give teams a 2 or 3 year grace period.) but 5 years down the road it would probably work out great for the league as a whole. As a fan of the Lakers I don't particularly mind not having a hard cap though. I'm not like many Yankee fans who are dead set against it in baseball, but I'm not going to complain if there isn't one.

The Mavericks disagree. :)

Dirk is the only star player on that team. Jason Kidd used to be a star but he hasn't been that player in years. Neither Terry nor Chandler ever elevated themselves to the top tier level even though it was thought they would. Caron Butler (can the Lakers have him back?) was their 2nd star and he's a lesser known star but he was out the entire playoffs. Shawn Marion is probably my favorite player on that team (I went to a lot of UNLV games while he was there) but he's not a star.

I would say though that in that series, Terry played like a star. Despite being a reserve player, he came in and provided points when needed. Without him, they do not win the series in my opinion. In the closing game he was 8 for 11 in the first half and ended up with 27 pts for the game compared to Dirks 21.

In the games the Mavs won he scored 21, 27, 17, 16 and the games they lost he scored 12 pts and 15 and in my opinion was the true MVP of the series, obviously you give it to dirk in that spot though. The thing about him is that he also was efficient in his scoring. And every player on the Mavs knows there role, you don't see any player throwing up ludacris shots and making idiotic decisions. Their team played a very smart series and that is why they won.

Without terry they don't win. I need to edit that in that you don't need two stars, but in most blueprints you have a elite star, a great player/scorer, and role players that know their role.

Winning cures everything, and when LeBron wins a couple of titles he will be back to being loved (surprisingly hes had the top selling jersey this season). Afterall, people tend to forget Deshawn Stevenson is a rapist and Jason Kidd is a wifebeater

Stevenson is a nobody that outside of his teams fans barely anyone even knows who he is. As for Kidd, wife beating just isn't all that bad of an offense to most people (not saying this mindset is right) and they tend to forget about it (or forgive them if they think they have changed).

LeBron will always be hated by most hardcore fans that aren't currently fans of his because people tend to hate players that get so much hype.
