Under the guise of having a ton of booze and having a free off the record conversation?

ARod...

Think about it - 7 rye and gingers in, asking ARod, "yo man, be straight with me. Did you bang that stripper in toronto? Did you screw over teammates?"

Then after another 7, ask him "How bad do you want to beat the **** out of Selena Roberts?"

That beats hero worship anyday.

LeBron. I would just like to get that close to greatness.

I'd also love to meet Albert Pujols. Seems to be a pretty classy guy for the kind of talent he has.

There's no one I would care to meet. I've never been that impressed by celebrities. Of all those mentioned thus far Maria Sharapova for the same reason DelawareTitans didn't give. :thumbsup

Honestly, I don't get it with Tiger Woods. Maybe it's because I'd rather watch paint dry than to play or watch golf, but I wouldn't pay a quarter to meet the guy. Guess I have zero respect for golf.

No desire to meet any NBA athlete of the present. The second most boring professional sports organization, next to the PGA. Mike Krzyzewski is the closest many of these athletes ever got to playing real basketball.

Pujols, Griffey Jr., McNair, or Bird would be cool but I wouldn't go out of my way to meet either of them.

I guess I'm just not that impressed by people, or at least very few people.

My uncle is a pilot for Nike and he took me to the US Open in 2000, I didn't really "meet" him I guess just shook his hand.

Thank you! I kid you not, Bob and I both had tears in our eyes when he broke Lou Gehrig's record. I saved that issue of SI, too. I don't want to have a long conversation with the guy, I just want to shake his hand and say thank you.

Steve McNair or Ken Griffey Jr.

I met Griffey right outside wrigley field after a game a couple years ago. He was playing for the Reds. Im such a huge Griffey Fan. So one summer i bought tickets to 3 games vs the Reds in Chicago for my dad.

One night i met and got ryne sandbergs autograph :bowdown

Anywho, the game ended and me and my father were walking down the street heading towards the L trains. We notice the area was packed with fans. So we decided to wait it out and sit on the sidewalk having our backs on the bricks of wrigley field. People walking by and what not, all of a sudden this SUV rolls up and parks on the sidewalk and this big white guy comes walking out. He looks over at us, and me and my dad were like WTF who are you? He opens a door to the side of wrigley field and out walks ken griffey jr. My jaw droppped. I was litterally 4 feet from him sitting down. I got up and said, "oh my god, its griffey" I asked if i could shake his hand and get a picture with him, but he declined my picture request. :fu: I did shake his hand though. It was pretty neat, cuz it was just griffey, the security guard, my dad and I. No one else noticed Griffey coming out the side since it was so incognito.

Oh and talk about karma, the very next night griffey was injured in the outfield. :lolhit

im still a huge griffey fan tho, especially now since he's back with the mariners
