http://www.statenews.com/index.php/article/2008/10/three_of_a_kind i have seen some of his games, because some spartans games do come on TV down here in san antonio sometimes, and have watched lots of highlights on you tube, he is very, very awesome! BUT, HE IS AN EVEN BETTER PERSON! he is mature way beyond his years!!! i think we struck gold again titanites, and we will have a three headed monster on our hands!!!

What is the knock on this guy? Everything I have seen and read makes him sound like a 1st or 2nd round pick. We got him in the fifth. Are durability issues the sole reason he dropped so far?

See below:
In April 2008, NFL draft expert Mel Kiper named Ringer as his choice as the best back in the class of 2009. However, when Mel Kiper revised his 2009 draft choices in February 2009, Ringer was not listed as one of Kiper's top 5 running backs. It was revealed that Ringer has been playing on a torn lateral meniscus, which he had surgery on six days after the season ended. Ringer has said that he has worked out at the combine with his knee at "80%". Ringer skipped the 2009 Senior Bowl because of his injury.
Despite the injury, Ringer chose to participate in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. He clocked in at 4.60. Ringer was quoted as saying "I personally was disappointed because I know I'm a lot faster than that. But I was able to do that just coming off knee surgery, so if I look at it that way, I'm happy." He finished third among running backs in the 20-yard shuttle (4.11 seconds) and fifth in the three-cone drill (6.87 seconds).

You know, the more I watch of this guy he's growing on me. I noticed in some of the videos Kimmy posted that his footwork is excellent and VERY quick. He runs low and hits holes with authority. I wasn't too excited about this pick and felt it was a reach and not really a need for as high as he was drafted. If his knee is ok, he could significantly cut into LenDale's role. Can I say I was wrong about him? :doh
