I'm not usually one to jump on the "sign him" bandwagon, but this guy could be worth a look if he wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. I read on MSN that it's purely a cap-related move.

The St. Louis Rams have released linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, the team's leading tackler in 2008.

"This was a difficult decision based on a lot of factors," Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said Friday in a news release. "I have a great deal of respect for Pisa and wish him all of the best."

Tinoisamoa, a six-year veteran drafted by the Rams in the second round of the 2002 NFL draft, recorded 135 tackles in 2008, 88 of which were solo.

Tinoisamoa spent much of the previous two seasons on the injured-reserve list.

Not saying that it wasn't a cap related move, but those two seasons on IR could have something to do with it.

I don't see how looking at this guy would merit such sarcasm. He's a relatively young guy in the prime of his career that performs at a high level and flies under the radar so his price tag should be reasonable. He put together a great season last year and was one of the few bright spots on an awful Rams team. The Titans are aging at linebacker and he along with McRath and Tulloch would make for a nice future at the position.

I agree. I'm not going to lose sleep if the Titans don't look at him, but he's the kind of guy they usually like to bring in. He fits the profile.

The move was requested by the Ram's radio team. They could'nt bear the thought of trying to pronounce his name for another season.:crazy
