Tennessee State University intends to play two to three football games this year at its beloved but now-dilapidated Hale Stadium after a $1 million face lift.
The project calls for installing a temporary sound system and digital scoreboard and demolishing an old attached ROTC building. Additional bleachers and portable restrooms will be rented to accommodate more people — up to 16,000. The current seating capacity is about 12,000.
Repairs will also include painting and general cleanup. About $1 million is going toward repairs and upgrades and $500,000 will go toward an in-depth study.

This is a nice start. I doubt TSU will ever be able to use their stadium for every game (article said it would take about $30 million to completely renovate it), but it will be good to have a few games there. Plus that takes away some wear and tear from LP Field.
