I think everyone knows by now that he passed away Sunday morning due to his lung cancer. :(
While his legacy is tarnished by the Sandusky scandal, when people look back at his career, he will be know as one of the greatest college football coaches of history, up there with Bear Bryant. He will always be a legend for Penn State.
Rest in peace, and may all the pain and suffering of these past months be washed away.
I don't know how peaceful his soul is resting. The man could have and should have done more.

While I won't spit on his grave, I am having a lot of trouble feeling bad about this. Karma seems to be in play here and it probably has bigger fish to fry soon.

I see a guy who positively affected millions of people and thousands directly, including our own head coach. He did a whole lot of good in his time here on earth, and I thank him for that.
Millions???? Wow
I think you are choosing to overlook the obvious

I've had a lot of trouble commenting on the situation. On one hand you have a man who did so much good for so many people throughout his life. But he made one, terrible mistake. Not by what he did, but by what he didn't do. And it just so happens that this terrible mistake occured at the end of his life. He has no opportunity to right his wrong, ask for fogiveness, or make ammends. For that I feel sorry for this man.
None of us are perfect and to judge him is a shame on you. What he did may have been wrong and terrible, but I will not allow his one mistake to take away from all the good things he did for so many young people throughout his entire life. May he rest in peace and I certainly hope that God will have mercy on his soul.
I'm not judging him, but everyday he did nothing was a seperate mistake. So in my book he made more than one mistake. We don't know if he asked forgivness or not for it wasn't any of us he should have been asking

I judged his actions (weak selfish coward) when the story came out and his death changed nothing for me.
My biggest problem.... Had it been his own son being molested/ raped, he would have taken prompt and swift action.

He didn't deserve death. I feel bad he is dead. But i will not judge him. I'll leave that to God. Only man i will judge is Ray Lewis. lol

I may not be perfect, by a long shot even, but I have never stood by while a child is being harmed. It takes 1000 "atta boys" to erase 1 "ah ****" unless of course that 1 "ah ****" is "damn I should have done something to protect all the kids he raped after I did nothing" then that "ah ****" is unredeemable.
Joe, there's no amount of good you can do to make up for this. Good luck with your maker.

Joe's life will not be judged by what he did............it will be judged by what he didn't do.
