View Full Version : Snedeker wins again

In the Farmers Insurance Open this weekend, Snedeker was down 4 shots to Kyle Stanley going into the final hole. Brandt was in the 2nd to last group, and he hit his 2nd shot about a foot away from the pin for an easy birdie.

Kyle was in the last group, and his 2nd shot hit the green, but he put too much spin on the ball. It rolled off the green and then barely rolled into the water. He still had a chance to win with a 5 foot putt, but it missed.

They both birdied 18 in the playoff, and then Brandt got a par on 16, while Kyle missed his par putt.

This is Snedeker's 3rd PGA win, and his 2nd in less than a year. It is a little weird that all three of his wins came when he was down by at least 5 shots on the final day, but he isn't complaining. I do think Brandt is on the cusp now of becoming a major player on the tour. He still needs to win as many tournaments as he can, but winning a major could very well happen this year. He has done well in majors, finishing in the top 10 in many of them, but he has only been in the final group on Sunday just once (where he really collapsed at the Masters).

Winning a million dollars is a great way to start the new PGA season, and I wish him the best!
