They’re the forgotten members of the receiving corps, two draft picks from 2007 whose uphill climb got even steeper of late.

One is Paul Williams, the other Chris Davis

We forget them because we don't like nightmares and wasted draft picks

“Once I heard we’d taken a receiver in the first round it was one of those things like, ‘OK, it’s time to work,’ ’’ said Williams, a third-round pick in ’07. “But really, any time you are in this building there is a sense of urgency. I was ready to work anyway.’’

Its like he says what he means and then realized it and tried to correct himself. This man has shown no sense of urgency

“Chris Davis is having a good offseason so far. He is a smart receiver, and he understands routes and gets in and out of breaks real well,” Collins said. “I sense his maturity too and his understanding of the situation, and I think he has come as well-prepared this offseason as anybody else has.’’

At least one is showing us something

I just don't understand why the Tennessean is wasting space on one player who most definitely not be with us....and another who probably won't

I would favor Chris Davis in this head-to-head "battle." Davis has shown the ability to play punt returner and kick returner. No, he hasn't reminded anyone of Chris Carr or Pacman Jones, but at least he got better once he went through his early struggles with muffing the ball.

Williams, since we haven't seen him play those roles, would seem to be the long shot to stick around.

I understand but this story was essentially. These guys haven't done anything and soon they'll be gone

I really thought Davis showed some flashes his first season and then we saw nothing from him last year.

Is Tyrone Calico worried by our draft pick as well?

The acquisition of our latest draft picks, Kenny Britt and Javon Cook, probably means there's no room for these two. PW has no chance. None.`

He has a chance only because the Titans have kept him this long. The guy has to have something tangible for the Titans to keep him over some of the receivers that we have let go recently.

I do doubt he makes the team, but it isn't a slam dunk like I think the public feels.

I agree it's not a slam dunk that Paul Williams gets cut, but it sure does seem pretty likely. Not only is he inconsistent as a WR but he looked awful on ST last year. I always liked Chris Davis though and it's good to hear that he's looking good so far. The WR battle is going to be interesting.

if we dont bring in another vet reciever

i think we would keep chris davis, because apparently lavelle hawkins isn't getting it and chris davis if his off season is as good as they are saying so far.

he would be much better to keep around

What receivers have we kept him over?

Joe Filani?
Biren Ealy...I know we're all disappointed he can't pee off of a Nashville balcony and all

If anything our keeping him just shows our weakness at the position
