ZachLV, NcTitansFan were there too. And with 6 more of us (sorry, I don't have the list of the other Coaches here with me).

It's a live draft. We usually do it on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday Night. Thinking that the team owners are free and available to participate in the draft.

We can set a day, all together. We like to have our draft done by the last weekend of August, so we don't get surprised by injured players during the pre-season.

The last thing we all need to decide is when the Live Draft will take place.

Only for setting up porpouses, I did the Monday, September 5 at 7:00 pm (CST) one.

But I would like to think that a Monday isn't a good day for all.

I'm pretty flexible, but weekends, personally, are best. I'm on the west coast and when I get home, most of my east coast friends are climbing into bed.
THIS weekend I have 2 live drafts going on, one is a keeper league the other is a money league. I'd be hard pressed to fit a third in. Also, for what it's worth, it's generally better to draft on the week of the last preseason game. That way any injuries that have occurred can be accounted for in the draft. Nothing like drafting a guy that sits the entire season AND is on the "can't cut" list. I've had that happen, sadly.

That's the tentative date, and was only done for set-up purpouses.

As soon as the majority decide which day is better so we all have a chance to show up for the live draft, that's the way we all go. We could decide this, as far as one week before September starts. The idea is to avoid bad surprises about injured players.

I'm actually the leader in both leagues I'm in this week. In my Keeper/IDP league, I have 282.5 points, and the league avg is probably about 180.
Still some more games today, but no one can catch me in the IDP league.

Thanks, it feels good. In my other league I'm 3-4, with all four losses due to severe second guessing. I had the players to win those games, but benched them because I was over analyzing it. :sad
Luckily that league is in a super tight race with only one player at 5-2, and most at 4-3, so I still have a good chance of bouncing back.

The 7-0 record is nice, but I only have to lose once in the playoffs for it to all be over.

*On a Riot league note, I've been thinking maybe we should extend the waiver period until tuesday night/wednesday morning. That's how it is setup in my other league, and it gives everyone a chance to submit a waiver claim. As it is now in the Riot league, a team can pick up a player sunday night/monday morning and the waiver system is pretty much meaningless.
I've picked up several great players that way, just being a night owl who sleeps maybe 4-5 hours a day. In my other league, if I'm like 8-12th in the waiver order, I have no chance in hell of getting a player like Miles Austin after a breakout game. Here it was no problem at all, I wanted him and he was there.

I did a very bad draft, and I'm paying the consequences of it. Now what happens is that not all players fulfill their roles. Is not that I have the worst, but when a player is suppose to make 7 pts. and it only gets 1...well, that's something we do not have control over.

I am fine by thinking that my team can get a surpirse win over any other team, any week though. :lol That's the fun part I had found during this season, and also hoping for my players to meet the expectations.

The League has been a tough one all season long. Top-Notch competition.

I will start to post more as soon as play-offs start to keep some updates going on. My team hasn't been as consistent as it was on last seasons, but I had enjoyed this season as much as any other.

I honestly hope to have all teams back for the 2010..and thanks to all team owners for being so dedicated to this league in 2009!!

Manningham's inability to catch a ball in bounds is killing me in this game. He had two touchdowns last night that ended up not being touchdowns mainly because he didn't realize how close to out of bounds he was.

The win feels good. Finally won one, woot! I definitely think we should extend the waiver period next season though, it gave me an edge for the first half of the season.

I've also managed to make it to the Super Bowl in my espn league. It's been a tough league too, and it's cool to make it this far. I might just pull out 2 SB wins, and that would be fat! Either way, it's cool just to win one, and I know it probably wont happen again for me for another 5 years.

I really enjoyed playing with everyone, and look forward to next season.
