i was reading some of the posts about steve mcnair and all, and one person mentioned that a caller called in to the radio show when they were doing a tribute to steve, and mentioned that the titans should change the name of the stadium to steve mcnair stadium! I THINK THAT ITS AN AWESOME IDEA! and i feel that we should act and have each one of us call the radio station and make it so , or write to the Tennessean or something! what do you guys think? any idea's? let me know, and if we get enough good ideas and folks in on it, we can give this thing i try! i know it might take a while, money i am sure is involved and what not, but l say lets give it our best shot!

Im not so sure money has alot to do with it! Look at the Dolphins stadium having Jimmy Buffets "Land Shark" label! I think it does more for the people's name on it then it does for the stadium in general. It's more to promote whatever's on it, Im sure they have to pay something though. I do agree it would be cool to see something like "AM Stadium" short for Air McNair, Instead of LP Stadium, Not like it would hurt anything. Then again i'd like to see Bud Adams retire McNair's jersey someday but who knows whats running through his head.

Pretty sure LP has the naming rights for 5-10 more years. However long the deal was for.

Just found this on the LP Field Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LP_Field) site:
The current naming rights deal with Nashville-based Louisiana-Pacific was inked on June 6, 2006. Louisiana-Pacific, which markets itself as "LP Building Products", is paying $30 million over ten years for naming rights[2]. LP's influence inside the stadium led to the creation of the LP Building Zones in 2007, located beneath the giant scoreboards at the North and South ends of the stadium. The existing concession stands and restrooms in these two areas have been decorated to look like suburban homes using LP products.

well, i guess there goes that idea then! at least have a statue or , like a big photo type banner to but across on the opposite side of the ring or honor, that would be cool! i know everyone misses steve, but i miss him terribly! i am praying very hard for his family and friends, cause that is most important first and foremost, but i have been taking it hard, i have my good days, and then in between i cry.

I heard Jeff say something about "The Titans and the NFL will do the right thing in reguards to his life". That's not word for word, but it's pretty close to what he said during the presser.

I wouldn't be surprised if they put his banner back on one of the corners on LP.

I'm also pretty sure we won't be seeing a #9 Titans jersey out on the field ever again

Maybe they could name the road around LP Field after him.

My thoughts are the league and team will wait and see just how the investigation plays out and the exact circumstances. No doubt there will be a jersey patch, field logo, or jersey retirement of some sort but I don't see the league rushing to make a decision until more is known

My guess is you will see a #9 decal on everyone's helmet, similar to what was done when Sean Taylor met a similar and just as sad fate.
Maybe for the season, not sure. If not that, probably a moment of silence in every stadium before the game starts to start the season. Sadly, the circumstances around McNair's death are a little 'dodgier' than Taylor's.

I could see them naming the field itself after him, but as far as the whole stadium, I dunno.

plant a #9 in each endzone and on the 30 yard lines and call it a day. they will never rename the stadium.
